I don’t see Robbos love for Lam? And surely Sam Walker is too young and green to be Putting all your faith in? Maybe someone else on the Radar, or Keary to 7?

Three runs in two finals. Not good enough.

He may come good but not before young Walker does.

This could actually be the first EXCLUSIVE that Hooper has got right.

It was always a very big ask for a kid to play 7 in a team that is still a premiership contender. A team like Bulldogs on the rebuild and with a proven halves coach would be the perfect fit. I would be very happy for Kyle if it is true.

Don't have much excuse for game 1, but against Raiders apparently he suffered a Grade 3 AC joint injury and played on with painkillers

That’s where we are labeled as heartless by other fans, toss out what doesn’t work and buy the next ready made superstar.

penrith fans believe that they will enjoy a premiership win, more than what we do, because they have done it with locals. I couldn’t give a crap if we win it with 12 bought in superstars.

rugby league must be the only sport in the world that gives a shit about locals playing for them.

imagine the NFL or EPL having a similar preference.

I don't know if people expected him to be the comps best halfback in his first fulltime season - I didn't?

I wouldn't see the point of letting him go at this stage unless they are off him or he is off us.

Let Flanno, Walker and Lam fight it out over the off-season to see who puts their hand up the most.

I am excited as anyone to see Sam Walker develop but I think after a full year without footy he would do well playing NSW Cup next year first (at least at the start but a full year would be good to get his confidence up).

Flanno didn't lose it for us, the team running out of juice did. Extremely hard with how many injuries we had, keeping the standard we did for the last two years, all teams aiming up against us all with the psychological pressures of being in the COVID bubble. Hard for any team, we probably didn't have enough hunger that comes with the desperation of winning a premiership for the first time as a squad.

We are still in the premiership window for the next 2-3 seasons. We have to be ruthless. The Storm were even more ruthless cutting Brodie Croft before the finals last year and it very nearly paid off.

Penrith fans are having a premature Jack headed by Luai.

Not saying it isn’t right, winning is all that matters in a business, gotta be ruthless.

I agree it is harsh, we suffered the same fate Melbourne did with Cronk’s departure hopefully it doesn’t take another whole year to find that missing link, I’m a fan of the kid, first full season couldn’t find his voice and yes a bigger frame and another year may do him a world of good to quick on the trigger here Roosters give the kid some time, another 12 months and we will know if he’s a long term future, or he could be Brodie Croft 2.0. I hope he stays at least another 12 months.

                              I'm with you Rusty.

My preference would be to give him one more season.
