All the talk of premiership windows - we have worked hard as a club to make ourselves 'Storm-like' in professional standards.

Their premiership window has been the last 15 years - let's make it the same for us. Smart salary cap management, recruitment choices and player development is key.

Time will come soon to have the next Friend's, Cordner's etc to come through and have the next gen - some are already shining through (like Radley, Verrills).

If we can't adapt, we are in trouble.

I hear you mate, but doesn't it feel good to have Radley, Lam and Crichton in our team?

If he leaves that’s 280K freed up... throw that ontop of the left overs from Aubbo , SBW & hall. We should make a play for someone?? But who? JS???

Only good getting rid of your half if you have an immediate solution - Storm trusted Hughes, he was ready and they were correct.

I'm not sure Lam or Walker are better to get better results at this stage

imagine the NFL or EPL having a similar preference.
Not many sports have their 'national' competition with 9 out of 16 teams in one city

I understand that replacing one kid with another doesn't solve the problem. It does free up $300k or so possibly for another forward. I would also not be surprised if we ended up with someone like Josh Reynolds for a year.

If they had said because they haven't won as many as us you would go with it, but that's seriously deluded. It's not like bush footy where you actually know the players because they might be your neighbour, half their players don't even originally come from Penrith

Yeah potentially - I guess all is a risk, spend same money on an 'experienced' player at that price (maybe like Renyolds) who is unwanted and either make him into a star again or he'll disappoint as a has-been.

Or do we target a different young gun who can't make their team, like a Burton but risk him also being inexperienced.

I hope this is true as its only a matter of time before its a Cleary type reunion elsewhere with Daddy.

I'm a fan of Lachie and he has never had the opportunities that even Flanagan had this year.

Plus the Walker raps are too big to ignore. If Flanagan stays on here I can see him as a North Sydney Bear.

I don't mind that idea. Keary goes to 7, Burton plays 6. He's a bigger body too, so helps defensively. The last 6 we bought from Penrith turned out pretty handy too

‘Local junior Lam leads roosters to claim back their crown, while Flanagan and Walker win state cup for Bears’ sounds amazing to me

If Flanno is given as much time as Pearce he will be fine. He wont, but hel be fine anyway.
he will be 1 of the best halfbacks in the game in a couple more years...

It’s Hooper - 50/50 it’s got any legs at all.

Pure speculation then. I mean if we win in 2021 and he gets Dally M, surely we'll keep him. If not... he's good enough that other clubs will be interested.
