Apart from goal kicking which is important oobviously did Flanno do anything any number 7 in the comp couldnt do ?? Does he defend better ? Does he pass better ? Is his kicking game better ? Is his running game better ? I am not saying he possibly couldnt develop but just my opinion he showed nothing this year that was worth persevering with BY ROOSTERS STANDARDS. Someone else mentioned on here the similarities with Croft at the Storm, Bellamy identified he wasnt the man for the job and cut him loose pretty quickly (39 games for Storm).

I thought Cronk was supposed to be our halves coach but with the bubble I am not sure he had much input.
But nevertheless I could not see improvement in any facet of his game from the WCC to the last semi game.
Yes he is young but you would expect some improvement within 12 months at the Roosters surely.

What did Robbo & Co expect from a rookie? Did they expect him to fit into Coopers shoes? We could have beaten Penrith and Raiders but even some of the old heads had a big part in losing those games. Considering that other teams targeted him and he had little cover, it's disappointing that he may be on the outer. If they are trying to get Sam walker ready, will they be as impatient with him as they have been with Flanno? If management wont allow a young half to grow into the position, then maybe they should shop around for an experienced half because we are going to go through a few halves if they don't invest the time on a rookie.

Surely if we release Flanagan it must be more to do with team culture than future ability. I know the Roosters have high expectations but even we wouldn't expect a 10 gamer to be able to replace a 350 gamer seamlessly. Unless Cronk was talking a load of BS in the Fox wrap of our finals loss, he said that he considers Flanagan to have huge potential. I remember seeing reports that Flanagan senior contacted Robbo after Kyle was dropped, not sure that would have done him any favours. But then it appeared Lam was fit and Flanagan still got the nod, so go figure.
As for Sam Walker, you don't drag a17yo kid half way around the world and keep him inside the COVID bubble if you don't consider his potential and attitude to justify your confidence in future ability.

Its harsh to see what's happening with Flanno. His first year, he replaces a legend and is thrown into the pit of fire. Sure the finals and the back end of the season hes not looked great but he's young. It's his 1st season in 1st grade and he's potentially going to be dumped out to the Bulldogs just cause he didn't lead us to a premiership. If we're not backing him and making him a scapegoat then what happens when Walker gets placed in, he'll be in the same position as Flanno. I remember the 1st Melbourne game where everyone talked him up as clutch and now these people want to dump a person into their full season into first grade. Perspective.

The hystreria about Flanno's so called failings is nothing short of disgraceful, but not unexpected from some of the serial death riders on here. A kid in his first full season, 9 games under his belt when he came to us, replacing a legend of the game for defending premiers going for a 3peat. Which one of you wankers has ever been thrown into such a pressure cooker at such a young age. He did a bloody great job under the circumstances. The shit throwers on here deserve to have their faces rubbed in it.

If he is released to the Dogs it isn't because of the debate happening in hear. That won't determine whether he stays or goes. So everyone putting sh!t on those who are saying he is probably better off at the Dogs are actually putting the same sh!t on Robbo and Uncle Nick. Are you doubting their judgement and what they feel is right for us to win our next premiership?

Trust in Trent and Nick guys, they know what they’re doing..
A couple of years ago they signed Cooper Cronk ahead of favourite son Mitchell Pearce and everyone was up in arms regarding the decision..
2 Premierships later and no one misses Mitchell and his disappearance in big games, we will be fine..
Trust the Club in making the right call!

A few people are missing a very critical point. One of the things Robbo is very big on is improvement, thats generally at the core of all his press conferences.
It was not about Flanno being another Cronk, its about Flanno coming in at a certain level, that every one on the staff was aware of, then improving on all aspects of his game.
So its not about him being anything but a better version of himself to a level that Robbo is satisfied with. I won't pretend to know Robbo's thoughts but I would be surprised if he hadThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid
