i wish we were still in it but i'm looking forward to the games anyway. nothing like finals footy and you can watch it without stressing about the result.
No interest in who wins as long as it's not them on the other side of Anzac Parade.

Atlanta Braves up 3-1 in best of 7 series vs LA Dodgers in NLCS after winning game 4 (10-2) - Richmond vs Port Adelaide in AFL Prelim tonight

Gee we missed Cooper Cronk in 2020.

Our run of good form made me forget how much influence he had on the chooks.
It was there to see at the back end of the season.
If he plays maybe the chooks dont lose the attitude in defence that fell by the wayside

As Freddy said, to be an Immortal you have to possess a unique quality. And in Cronk's case he's basically a mental wizard.

His ability to prepare, execute a game plan under pressure, believe, and instill belief in those around him is unparalleled in my time as a fan of the game.

The absence of all those qualities was sorely lacking at the end of the season.

the original salvo had a season in red and green. i met him just after he'd lost his wife and mentioned the game he played v us when we thrashed them and talked about how he'd almost scored and said that a lot of roosters supporters would have been happy for him to have crossed the line and he used his fingernail to show how close he'd come.

The chip kick or the Rafter type chip and charge- Chooks use to lose a lot of players to the vermin - Michael Mosman/Gary Metcalf/Paul Jelfs/Fairfax even /Rocky Laurie/Ken Wright who cost me $100 in first try scorers - would have scored but passed it to Hastings i think instead as i had the Balmain first try scorer.

Yes the spoon as they haven't won one for a while as Brian Cooley would often call the refs - You are criminals Souffs Vermin- I remember one touch judge Brian had a real dislike for Gately back in the late 70's/early 80's - can't think of first name but he sure used to give it to him in particular.

Be the last place you would want him to be - too much froth and bubble

Good points Tommy and well you could argue SBW has all the same attributes as Cronk, he didn't do all the hard graft with this current bunch of players to earn and demand the same respect as Cronk.

Cameron Smith is in the same league & thats why Melbourne are going to win the comp.

We missed Cronk's influence, leadership and professionalism at the back end but we also missed Radley immensely and Verrils would have been handy cover for Friend in the back end of the season.....

I remember that and I remember thinking it would be nice if he scored. He was very popular.
