clearly we've got wraps on walker. sure it's a gamble to say he's our future but every recruitment decision is a bit of a gamble.

i'm surprised we're happy for flanno to walk but it's no huge shock given he was dropped and only returned cos lachie got injured v storm.

i don't see how walker could be ready next year, particularly since he hasn't played any footy this year, but i guess you never know.

Yes, the Zing has gone off early.

The alcohol looks to be doing the talking on a Friday afternoon.

I am not fased about Walker's background. Who cares, as long as he is a great player for us!

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Lachie Lam is probably going to be our insurance policy.

We must nurture Walker - to give him every chance to succeed.

Every now and then a young player comes along where "you just know".

Sam Walker has been training in the bubble with the boys all year in highly competitive training sessions.

Perhaps Robbo & co have seen more than enough and just know that he's going to be a star.

Hence why they were happy to ditch Flanno.

One thing is for sure, if he's as dynamic a ball runner as the reports suggest then we'll be deadly under the new rules.

Look at Penrith with Cleary & Luai. Canberra with Wighton & Williams. Melbourne with Munster & Hughes. Walker is braining it. It's the era of the running half.

And with Radley acting as a defacto halfback firing bullets to Keary and Walker on both sides, it'll make us a lot more dangerous than we were with a non-threatening slug at halfback this year.

i often wonder if we would have signed cronk if we'd made it to the gf in 17 but the fact that we've told flanno to move on so soon after last weekend makes you think it was something we were intending to do if he didn't show something special in the finals.

wait till he plays as he did have a shoulder reconstruction late 2019 and spent 5 or so months in rehab - so the body needs work one would say to cope with NRL week in week out as he will surely be targetted in defence and attack - mmm why halves should defend on the wing not 3 in

It was clear he wasn't cutting it and his confidence must have now taken a hit. The Chooks have cut/let go others who went on to bigger things - Tamou, Winterstein, Rocky Laurie back in the day. and, of course, there's Hastings' impact on Super League. The Kid had his moments, some nice cross kicks, plenty of 2 pointers, great on the backing up. He's a good footballer and it will be interesting to see what the future holds.

I've been surprised that nobody seems to have suggested another Walker to fill the unfillable shoes of the Cronkster, Cody! Perfect, a Keary on either side.

The top 8 halves will be on show this weekend.
                            Walker's competition.
He's got a long way to go to be the best.

All the teacher's pets teams are playing
                            LOL
All the teams who were allowed to hit our players in the neck and head illegally, tackle our players in the air, stand offside all game, hold our players down etc.

They all received set restarts by the truckload.

This is what Walker will be confronted with.
Big is best...Walker is very small.
