I've been surprised that nobody seems to have suggested another Walker to fill the unfillable shoes of the Cronkster, Cody! Perfect, a Keary on either side.

The knock on Cody Walker is he goes missing in big games. All the way back to his QRL days. Let’s see how he goes tomorrow night and if they win that, the following week.

The only thing that worries me about Walker is whether he will stay in Sydney for many years ahead... his whole family is up in QLD along with his girlfriend and what not. Just hope they reside to Sydney so we can keep him for many many years to come!!

Did you expect Kyle to be as good as hughes?

Hughes has been at Melbourne for 4 seasons, he was at two clubs prior to that, he has played international matches, and is 26yrs old, he wasn’t even playing 1st grade at 21 as Kyle was.

but the storm gave him 3 seasons in different positions, and Bellamy made him the player he is today.

I’m not necessarily worried about Walkers size. He has gotten a fair bit bigger over this year going by his insta. I’m gonna say he would be bigger than keary easily.

but I’m with sizzle on this one. It worries me if he will stay in Sydney. I really hope we can keep him in Sydney as in my opinion he is a special talent.

Not as good but as a halfback you’re expected to have some instinct on halfback play. So an occasional dash into the defensive line would have been helpful.
Let me add that I was as surprised as the next person when he was dropped, and even more surprised when talk of his release was mentioned. I liked him and thought he did reasonably well in a difficult position especially taking over from Cronk! But I stand by the club’s decision as they’ve had a little more insight into the team’s needs than me.
