Yeah well obviously he has been playing his junior footy on the northern beaches but he is in our junior development squads.

Thanks for the info, that was 3 weeks ago? Was hoping to attend but got caught up elsewhere, good to hear he killed it.

We've been good at roster management for a long time now.
I'm confident that in 2025 our team will look nothing like that, but it will be a competitive team.
A few players will be in their prime by then, so it just goes to show that despite the odd bad game, its worth persisting with players like Collins, Gus, Butcher, Lam.
I like that Rads has been named future captain! He's already played 62 games for our club, he will be a 300 plus game player in the end - all for the Roosters I hope. He could out do the great Aubo!

Yeah definitely will be different with some going and coming in - hope we develop a few more young guns too (if anyone has any wraps on any upcoming players in SG Ball/Flegg please share!).

I think Rads would be the perfect next captain - leaders by example with great ability, is a rooster through and through and is a local jnr.

I can't see Rads being captain if Keary and Teddy are still there

Kani Manu (centre) has wraps on him - might be hard to get over here from NZ though- was to play SG Ball this year Twins Moala and Lani Graham -Taufa(fullback/wing) /Ronnie Volkman (half) -SG Ball - Charlie Savalla a halfback and Tukupa-Ke HAU TAPUHA(2nd rower) Luca Moretti (lock) / Bayleigh Bentley-Hape(centre)- Jersey Flegg- some others as well

The Roosters juniors are back in training in November although some may not come back due to obtaining work/giving footy up/study or not able to come to Australia (i.e those in NZ) as Jersey Flegg (U20"s) played one game in 2020 and Harold Matthews (U16) and SG Ball (U18)played only 4 games in 2020 .

Thanks KS - keen to keep an eye out for them in the next few years. I’ll remember those names.

I think they are to increase the age groups by one for next year to accomodate for 2020? Eg SG ball will be under 19s? Etc

Will be interesting how they go with jnr development next year with covid still around - I’m sure a few challenges but I’m sure they’ll have comps up and running.

I imagine NSW may be hard to run if they make another NRL bubble. They may need to go with that joint club reserve grade comp for NRL squads while teams like the bears have an extended presidents cup with their contracted players

Bayleigh Bentley-Hape- looks a big kid

some Jersey flegg highlights from 2019 - i noticed that Lussick ran the ball a fair bit as DH - something that is needed in NRL from a DH especially under the current and future rules.

Interestingly in 2021 the Sydney Roosters Academy was established

To be fair, starting 13 for 2024 at least was very close.
