  • 2025 team - Next Gen

Just a bit of fun - from our young up and coming, and those from other teams you may like to recruit - who do you think will still be around?

Few ages below of those I think would not have retired by 2025 - sorry if I missed any obvious ones.

    1. Teddy (Age 32)
    2. B Smith (Age 25)
    3. Suaalii (Age 21)
    4. Manu (Age 30)
    5. Tuipulotu (Age 25)
    6. Keary (Age 33)
    7. S Walker (Age 23)
    8. Collins (Age 29)
    9. Verrills (Age 26)
    10. SST (Age 33)
    11. Sitili (Age 28)
    12. Gus (Age 29)
    13. Radley (C) (Age 27)

    14. D Fifita (Age 26)
    15. N Butch (Age 28)
    16, E Butch (Age 25)
    17. Lam (Age 28)

    18. Zach Fittler (Age 19)

Any young guns from other clubs we should be looking at before they get too pricey?

Next few years looks like we'll need to develop or purchase a few new props and potentially a few younger back rowers to keep a mix of experienced and fresh players (for comparison Cordner is 28 now but has deteriorated faster than normal due to the way he plays)

Looks good to me NC, no obvious or glaring omissions at the moment, but let me get back to you on that!
    MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Toops will be 34 in 2025 - I feel he may finish up before then. Would be devastated to see him play for anyone else - if he must I hope he goes to Super League for a swansong, he'd kill it over there even at 34

Average age = 26. Perfect. Place your bets now.

Interesting thread idea and the team looks good. Is Freddy's son a genuine prospect or is that just for fun?

Crichton might not even be here in 2 years so I'm not sure about 2025...

                  team looks good.
apart from the morris bros and jwh only one i have doubts about is keary - he'll do well to play beyond his current contract.

I was told he is a real chip off the ol block. His mannerisms and the way he moves are just like Freddy apparently. Will get along and have a look at him in 22 when no doubt he will b part of our HM squad

.... we'll be in the GF up against a team coached by 95 year old Wayne Bennet. Rabs will still be contemplating retirement, Wayne's Giggity Giggity sign is still going strong, The NSW Govt assures us all that completion of the new SFS is right on track. And we are expecting a CoVid vaccine within the next 12 months !

My manager's kid went up against him recently in a trial match for Norths against Easts - apparently Zach dominated the game and got an easy hat-trick. Very early days but wouldn't it be great for Freddy Jnr to be a rising star at the Chooks. Will be interesting to see how he goes when he is a bit older in SG Ball etc

How exciting would that be? Sometimes the son of a champion is made of the same stuff as their old man. Freddy II would be a dream.
