a bit unfair on fergo, and Pearce he was great in 19 for parra. he was very hit miss this year , with not many tried. Pearce was good last year, but went missing this year when knight's needed him most

napa was a dud both years.

I reckon Napa goes home after a Dog's game and wears his premiership Rooster gear ....still unwashed !

I reckon it'd be pretty hard to play well after you've been punted by the chooks

It's testament to how good our culture is these days that there really haven't been any solid or gennuine substantiated rumours around the Flanno issue come out.

Look, it may well be as simple as Robbo believes in terms of future potential and current cultural fit, Lam is the better choice to partner Keary.

Or alternatively, maybe there is a cultural rift there. We don't know, so i think it's a bit to early to slam Kyle Flanno's charatchter unless we really do know something.

I think a lot of the 'hate' for Flanno is simply based on his old man being a knob.

He was never more than a 'solid' prop, even for us. Nothing flash, but does a simple job. He was always behind JWH, Liu, SST in quality. TBH, i even thought Tetevano was a better prop than Napa.

Now, with the speeding up of the game, players such as Napa will become an extinct species.

Napa (as well as Evans, i might add) is another interesting example of player who kill it in reserves or juniors who don't have the equivalent dominance in firsts. We see it all the time - Hastings is another prime example. As was Nikorima. That's why it's important not to jizz over Walker........yet.

NApa was a beast. Then shoulder charges and the missile outlawed.
                no speed. No ball skills

left him a limited player. Robbo saw this and released him to go after the $$$

The shoulder charge was banned in 2012, before Napa played First Grade.

Kyle Flanagan has joined the Canterbury revolution - signing a three-year deal from next season.

The talented halfback put pen to paper on his deal with the Bulldogs on Monday after receiving a formal release from the final year of his contract in 2021 with the Sydney Roosters.

Flanagan’s junior club Cronulla held discussions with the 22-year-old and subsequently tabled an offer last week, but the Sharks failed to match the $1 million-plus deal from Canterbury.

With playmakers Shaun Johnson, Connor Tracey and Matt Moylan off-contract at the end of 2021, Sharks legend Paul Gallen had been vocal in declaring the signature of Flanagan was an “investment in the future” for the club.

But it’s the Bulldogs who pursued Flanagan with force and under coach Trent Barrett, a former Test and NSW State of Origin half, the playmaker believes his game can go to the next level.

Barrett has a huge opinion of Flanagan, who was let go by the Roosters despite helping the club to week two of the finals in his first season with the tricolours.

Canterbury are expected to formally announce Flanagan’s signing on Tuesday.

Major factors in his release from the Roosters included salary cap pressure and the rise of young Sam Walker.

As part of the release, the Roosters will contribute close to $100,000 for Flanagan’s first season at the Dogs.

Barrett, who has worked with Nathan Cleary as the Penrith attack coach for the past 12-months, believes Flanagan has a similar skill-set to the NSW Origin halfback and is 12-18-months away from his full physical development.

Flanagan will be given the responsibility of steering Canterbury the club out of the doldrums alongside a growing list of key signings including Nick Cotric, Jack Hetherington, Corey Waddell and Blake Green also part of the rebuild.

With Flanagan secured, Barrett will now switch his focus to luring rising Penrith five-eighth Matt Burton, who is off-contract at the end of 2021 at the Panthers, but can negotiate with rival clubs from November - this Sunday.

                          Flanno on insta:

“Shocked and disappointed. I want to thank everyone involved with my time at the Sydney Roosters. A rollercoaster year but full of memories I’ll remember forever. To the fans, I appreciate the ongoing support, it’s been unreal. To the lads, I loved every minute with you boys. #1191”

It could be down from 9.9 to 8.9 mill so any cuts may mean across the board cuts and going forward for any extensions and upgrades as well as players being released and replaced with cheaper players internally which affects depth as far as NRL experience goes.

Since this discussion back in October, we have found money to sign Suaalii and Keighran, and still have money left over in pursuit of TJ Perenara.

Time has proven that Robbo couldn't see much value at all in retaining Flanagan, and was happy to cut his losses and get a partial refund back from Bulldogs. Yet some people still clinging on to an alternate reality.

You are still persisting with your assertion as though Robbo had nfi Maubs and SBW were going to retire before releasing Flanagan.

I have no doubt that you find facts annoying.
