Apparently outta favour with Wayne and gaaawnski. Guessing he'll go to Parra to replace Jenko.

Interesting discussion point though. The way I see it:
- We will eventually need a centre to replace Morris. Before going any further, I hope that centre is Billy Smith as he's taller, younger and has far less baggage.
- If he's gonna come here on minimum wage (or similar) and has the right attitude, he could be a decent value buy.
- Drongos and Souffs are scum that focus on hiding problems rather than fixing them. We could grab him for 12 months (as a backup for Morris/Smith/Manu/Toops...etc), try our best to fit him in with our culture and sack him pretty quickly if he's a d!ck.
- It could help us build a better reputation with indigenous players (and also bust the myth that Souffs is the indigenous friendly club).
- Guessing he's damaged goods but meh. Thought I'd raise it in the off-season spirit of creating threads about every player that's on the market (or not).

I actually think he wouldn't be a bad shout to replace Morris... Brett Morris that is.

James Roberts biggest problem is he's a winger playing centre. For the right price I wouldn't mind seeing us give him a shot on the wing. He could replace Ryan Hall this year and then if he's good enough he can replace Bmoz next year or we just let him go no foul no harm.

Yeah nah, I think the Knights or the Eels are going to offer him a deal and I'd rather we stay clear of him anyways... damaged goods beyond repair (imo).


I think it's best to stick with Billy Smith and Christian Tuipulotu (who also has the ability to play both centre and wing). Our salary cap at the moment looks a bit tight so perhaps we stick with the Morris brothers one more year and then slowly inject and see what Billy Smith and Christian Tuipulotu can offer in our backline as we look at succession planning beyond the Morris twins.

Do any of you remember Robbo in a press conference a couple of months back, when he was asked whether the Roosters were interested in a young Broncos Forward?
The answer he gave the press was that we weren't interested- the guy didn't fit into the Roosters culture.
That alone rules Roberts out, in addition to his lack of ability as a footballer.
