so most of the time you find it frustrating and feel like they can’t pick the ball up - they are not trying to because if they get caught with it they are going to give away a free kick. So they do that sort of knock on thing to get around the rule - or if you “accidentally” can’t pick it up you don’t give away a free kick but in effect you are moving the ball to a place where it advantages you or your team.

I understand the game all too well, but thank you very much for your pointless explanation of the boring rules of the boring game.

Hope we can do that with some of our signing and re-signings that managers recommend they stay for less as they would get better football opportunities with us.
some info on free agency in the AFL -restricted and unrestricted including the draft - many want something like this in the NRL-

Apologies for apparently upsetting you. It just seems from your comments you needed an explanation as to why it appears scrappy and unskilled in that particular microcosm of the larger game.

Not upset, just being cheeky, sorry. Just sick of hearing it's a more skilful game than rugby league from people who don't know one or either of the codes. I think the skill level is hugely over-rated. It's just less physical.

Different skills required for any of the Football codes - Is Footaball (the World game) as Laszlo Urge (Les Murray) called it more skillful than all the other football codes
