No it doesn't matter , I would rather watch a school boys game than the women that's all.
There is way more skill on display for viewers.
    Each to there own though

I recognize our great Aussie sportswomen in all sports and believe they should be celebrated in proportion to what they achieve, the sponsorship and crowds they bring, and the skills they display. Love watching the women's hockey and football, especially. They play with a high level of skill, play in tough leagues, and deserve what money and plaudits they can get. If women want to play rugby league, there's plenty of room for them and I'm all for it (unlike my mother, who is horrified by the very idea). They too should be celebrated with the same standards.

And that is the problem. Four teams in a competition that is park football standard at best, less than a handful of games, and there they are at ANZ Stadium. Sure, they can play there - got no problem with that, celebrate their outstanding players, even walk next to Maubs if he doesn't mind, but it should be done properly. Which brings me to the thing that completely pissed me off. Bumping Newtown Jets last year?? (I am a Jets fan as well as Roosters). That was, as they say, political correctness gone mad! NSW Cup and QLD cup are basically reserve grade, and the two teams gave us a great spectacle, with the Jets providing yet another spectacular last minute win. Too bad it was played in an almost empty stadium at 1:30pm to accommodate the women. Maybe some day the women will be on an equal footing with NSW Cup, but I doubt it. It's not a sport that is going to attract a massive amount of participation. In the meantime, they need to take their proper place in line.

mmm a Women's place is in the home i suppose you'll say next - get with the program or you'll become a display in a museum of ancient artifacts.

They play in other state based comps not just in the NRLW and a few games a year- They want more teams and more games so it;s not them that is stopping this from happening - clubs needs to come to the party as well as after all Women make up a fair percentage of the crowd at games/members and the audience of the different platforms - tv/pay/radio/internet etc

It's like when they used to have the three grades - it was a friends and loved ones and a few other watching the first games ( under 23's/21/20's) and half or so of the reserve grade with a greater proportion of the crowd turning up throughout the second half of reserve grade to watch the 1st grade - that's what happens on grand final day - most turn up for the Men's NRL game not the earlier ones.

I've seen many Canterbury cup games on TV where they could have introduced the players to the "crowd" because there were so few of them.

I suppose your in the crowd that don't like the women playing before the men in the tennis night sessions either - oh they can still play tennis but play it somewhere else.

Agree too as Sterlo was one of my childhood favourites. Brandy was always very friendly when he used to come to Easts Leagues with Freddy after games when he was coaching.

This makes me smile Salvo. But I do appreciate the comments you have made on here in defence of women, much to the derision of some on here, and I do remember you mentioning once that your wife is a doctor and you are obviously proud of her achievements. It's refreshing to see a man supportive of their female partner rather than be jealous and resentful.

You need to re-read my post if you think those things of me, but if you think NRLW is a greater spectacle and higher standard than the NSW Cup, good luck to you.
