Roosters tie down ex-Warriors half Adam Keighran following Kyle Flanagan exit
EXCLUSIVE – The Roosters have locked in their potential replacement for outgoing half Kyle Flanagan with the signing of former Warrior Adam Keighran.
Keighran, 23, penned a two-year deal on Wednesday after being let go from the Warriors where he’s spent the last two seasons.
He made his NRL debut in Round 1, 2019 at five-eighth and went on to play eight more games for the Warriors – including their final game of the season where he scored his first career hat-trick.
The former Australian schoolboy boosts the Roosters’ depth in a number of positions having played in the halves, centres, lock and hooker.
He’s also a prolific goal-kicker and it’s understood the Roosters were particularly keen on his services because of this.
Keighran will battle it out with Lachie Lam and teen prodigy Sam Walker for a starting role in the halves alongside Luke Keary in 2021.
The signing is expected to be officially announced later this week. It comes on the back of the club locking in star trio Josh Morris, Brett Morris and Jake Friend for another year.
