Yeah I love Maubs but in a way I'm glad he timed it this year. He's been nothing short of amazing and is EXACTLY what we've needed for at least a decade.

However, his job is now done and this is a great opportunity to focus on others who will now get more gametime without him.

I like having guys from the area, and I include the south-east as part of that.

Radley, Lam, Chricton, Smith, Butcher 1 and 2, Moretti. Local boys.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

Crichton went to Scots College - not that there's anything wrong with that.

He is Easts to the bone.

It's very simple...If Gus wants to stay, he has to show it at training and on the field..no point talking about it and having the odd good game. He had a great 2020 even though his injury hampered any momentum he had and in his return, it took him a few weeks to get back into his best we've seen from him.

Not sure what game Nick is playing, but Teddy and Gus need to be retained ahead of anyone else and he needs to have a good look at JWH, Friend and Cordner.
Definitely need someone more educated and calm to converse with the referees than the two we have now.

His dad played Australian Schoolboys rugby, also from scots.

The odd good game? I don’t know what games you were watching but he was our best forward more often than not.

Sign both carnts long term and move on. What's the holdup?

Angus’ quote was particularly enthusiastic. I don’t think I have ever seen the like for any club by any player. Most players just say they would like to stay and hope it works out.

”I love the Roosters and I don’t want to leave. I love the club, the coaches, the style we play, the area, all my mates go for the club. My plan is to hang around. There is a lot more I want to do and want to prove.”

Now that’s a roosters captain in waiting.

How our club has changed since the transit lounge days.

Players staying because they love the club. Willing to take unders to play here. The message it sends to potential recruits and other clubs hoping to take our players.

We are in a once in a lifetime golden period.
                              Gus ain't going any where..

Well perhaps it’s a wrong choice of words but let’s be honest, he did struggle for a while but came good at the end. He is not as consistent as Keary or Tedesco or even TKO... If he was, then there wouldn’t be an issue with his signing... I’m sure that he will sign again but Robbo will be keen to see more consistency from Angus.
