No, I am not sure I can accept him being the greatest ever.
This reminds me of the Cameron Smith 'GOAT' argument. He is the greatest for longevity, but not the greatest ever.
I think Jack Gibson, Craig Bellamy and our very own Robbo might just have something to say about that.
I haven't done the statistical analysis, but it would prove to be an interesting exercise.
MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
yep, strong claim for greatest ever. has a better soo record than bellamy.
not old enough to run for us president yet but for a 70 year old to forego an offseason to coach at the highest level is pretty inspiring.

I reckon he would have won a comp at the Chooks if things had panned out & he went through with the offer.

i would have loved him at the roosters - but if he'd come we wouldn't have got brian smith which means we wouldn't have got robbo. worked out alright for us.
Would of loved it if he came to the roosters until the deal fell apart.
There has been plenty of great coaches over the years, Gibson, Fulton, Bellamy and our Robbo.
But Bennett has been at or near the top for 40 years and would be probably the best coach since I have been following the game.
He doesn't pick players out of position. Nor does he pick players because they are popular.
He doesn't pick players out of position? He's picking Latrell as a fullback when he should be a centre. In the SOO he picked Kurt Capewell at centre when he's a backrower and last year in the finals he picked Johnson at fullback and put Douhie at wing. Like any coach, they do what needs to be done including picking players out of position!

Latrell is a genuine FB though?? Far out why don’t people understand that

Probably because people have the ability to have a difference in opinion. And is that a question about Latrell being a 'genuine fullback' or a statement? Or what makes Latrell be a genuine fullback?

Latrell can play fullback, just like Wighton and Gutherson can play centres. He may end up being a genuine fullback in time but at the moment the jury is still out on where he is most effective.
Based on what? The few games he’s played this year? Be honest and tell us if he was in the top 5 fullbacks at the time
To say Latrell is a genuine fullback because he used to play there as a junior is like saying Matterson was a genuine 5/8 because he used to play there too in his early days. Latrell is a gifted athlete that can adapt to many positions, but at senior level he is not fullback because he doesn't have the work rate like Teddy, Slater or Mini. If there was a list of the best fullbacks rated by all that encompasses to be a fullback, Latrell would not be even in the middle of this years list.
