The biggest factors: momentum in games, forwards going forward and quick rucks.

Last season i would have said defense but the new rules make it all about attack / momentum.

A new type of player is needed now, like Rads and Collins, old war horses will have no choice but to adapt.

got no idea how we'll finish but you'd figure we'll be there or thereabouts.

Sounds about right Mick. He was also prominent at the Burgess/Hooke wedding where he got into a scuffle with the Rugby brother in law who mocked him for saying "More better than...", so he doesn't take shit from nobody, wedding or not. Ballsy. Couldn't have done the future relationship with Mitch much good. "Terrified he was", that lyin' old snob.

            No doubt thereabouts

if I was to buy a young player on the market who would it be?

I would have bought the Cronulla hooker 3 years ago...the good Brailey...to replace Jake F
I would have bought Payne Haas to replace JWH
I would have bought a top bloke to replace Aubo.

you can take your pick wit the rest of the squad but we need help soon.

If you read very carefully '08 and clear the mind of pre conceptions you will understand that I refer to Keary's no nonsense attitude. The Burgess wedding was the setting for that. Mind you he was a good enough mate that he was invited so he probably wouldn't share your negative Burgess obsession. The thing is that the wedding fracas provides an alternative view of the Hookes and their social circle - a different one to that promoted by the mates media.

No Idea of the Hookes , not quite in my circle of Friends but you cannot seriously believe that all that has been said about Bargass and the vermin ,The drugs , the drunken rampages , the wife abuse, the Avo . Some of that must be true and if so the yes I stick by my pre conception of the so called man . Great footballer , average human

Dougy shoulda known more better than to have a crack at a league wedding.

Paddo Colt 61 is such an obvious Souths troll. Surprised that anyone takes him seriously.

Can you point out any comments he has made about footy and not politics that make you think he is a Souths troll The political comments I struggle to see why that makes you think he is a Souths fan. I dont care either way I find him amusing.

I hope we'll be less of a target. It felt like every game this year was a big game because we were the benchmark and every team lifted for the occasion. Also (IMO subconsciously) the refs were a bit like 'meh... they are B2B premiers so I'm not 100% sure or anything but they can cop a few extra penalties whereas calling them against their opposition could wipe them outta the contest so I'll be cautious about that'.

Could just be me but I felt that a combination of the above two plus the squished COVID season (remembering, we lost the first 2 and there were questions about whether we'd be able to make the 8 given our rough draw) wore us out.

2021... we can respond to the above in 2 ways. Either we'll be flat or we'll be motivated by the fact we know we can do better with a clean slate. IMO we were the only team capable of beating the Drizzle/Pemriff but we didn't quite get outta 3rd gear during the finals. With a new clutch and a bit of a service we should be 'right for 2021 IMO!

Nothing to do with the politics. Everything to do with all the pro Burgess, anti Burgess in laws posts. No real easts fan would give a damn about that rubbish.
