    Roosters release Christian Tuipulotu

The Sydney Roosters have released young outside back Christian Tuipulotu, with immediate effect, to enable him to take up an opportunity with another NRL club.

Player number 1195, 19-year-old Tuipulotu made his NRL debut and sole first grade appearance with the Roosters in Round 14 of the 2020 NRL season.

Sydney Roosters Recruitment Manager, Daniel Anderson, said: “Christian has been a hard-working and committed member of our squad, and the Club’s provision of this release has been made with the view that it is in his best interests to secure his long-term future.

“We wish Christian well, and thank him for the contribution he has made over his time at the Club.”

Terrible decision. He’s a future star.
I’m assuming they’re making space for Suaalii

Ah bloody hell.... I thought this kid had plenty of potential and the Roosters would have kept him on. Our depth next year is going to be tested.... I hope all this isn't for "Joseph Suaalii"

Not great. He was a good size and had potential.

        No doubt for Sualli.

bit of a surprise having already lost kepaoa. doubt the morris bros will be with us next year, so maybe we think he's not gonna be a star.

we've got toops, jmoz, joey, bmoz for this year with billy and iku as back up.
next year maybe toops billy, joey, suaalii.

Looked good and has a future....

However Suaali will prove to be infinitely better with a bigger future. Not sure people understand what we have on our hands if Suaali really is coming

Christian Tuipulotu did have some hype on him back in early 2018. Look at the article below from Fox Sports:

Side note: Rumour floating around on social media is that Christian Tuipulotu has joined the Canberra Raiders.

This kid had some big raps about him too when we signed him.

Maybe he sees Suaalli will jump ahead of him and he started looking at other options. I wish him well.
Does anyone know who signed him?

If he is no longer the future plans, he no longer is in the future plans - same as Flanno, let's move on

Not a good decision from management, the kid definitely had a bright future but then again we rarely let go of a player that we want to keep, time will tell.

Thats a shame. Good luck to Christian in his future career. I'm all in for JS at this stage. I've never seen him play but I have drank the koolaid and I'm sold.

Wtf Tuipulotu aswell. Very suprising news, he looked real good in his debut. I guess money talks and whoever he is going to must've been offering a decent amount. Our depth will really be tested now, yikes

Maybe making room for Stephen Crichton

"Crichton did not want the negotiations to drag on and simply said "hopefully really soon" when it came to reaching an outcome.
The Sydney Roosters have been linked to Crichton, and are in need of a centre once Josh Morris moves on at the end of next year.
Crichton said none of the Roosters had tried to sell him the Bondi dream while in Blues camp."
