First choice: Keary & Keighran. Backup halves: Lam and Hutch. If we have a ton of injuries: Walker + whoever is left. He should not be rushed into the side.

I'm a little surprised by some of the calls for Teddy to play 5/8. Does he have the kicking game for it?

He plays like a second 5/8 although teams are awake to this and are setting up their defence to negate his influnce in attack- Robbo needs to tweak this so it's a more selective involvement - more or a surprise factor in each set of when he will be involved.

Haven't seen him kick but someone said he is quite handy in this department as well as goal kicking - fullbacks don't usually kick in general play - have to go back in time for when the ball was passed back to the fullback who would kick down field - oh and the old fullback kicking duel 's - a thing of the past

I would love to see what would happen if Teddy just hoiked it back at them against the chasing team.

Last kicking jewels for us I recall involved 'Lets Party' Marty Gurr. We usually lost those too.

Marty had a pretty decent left foot torpedo on him and I reckon we finished on top of most kicking duels with him. The best at it was Greg Brentnall from the doggies who had an Aussie rules background he could really give it a roost.
Looking back at it , it was a strange tactic.

It was done to make the opposition bring the ball back so the defense can bash them up . These days you’re not allowed to bash so no point in a kicking duel.

86kg Keary got bashed by the Melbourne Storms 100kg plus Welsh, Bromwich & Asofa Solomona. Its a different bashing these days.

I was thinking more like Spud Carroll, Chief , Tunks , Kelly ,Roach etc who would bash anyone who dared touch their half/5/8.

The biggest thug, grub, bully of all time was our own Artie Beetson. After Artie hurt you he would always invite you back into the dressing rooms after the game for a beer.
