Robbo now has 2 of the best young prospects in sualii and walker to go with the endless talent and experience of probably 5 of the best players in their positions in the world, that any other coach could only dream about.

No excuses for Robbo or the supporters.
      Agree.

Those sooking about halves talent such as Keary, Lam, Walker at our disposal should be taken out the back and shot, as they'll always be miserable unless the entire team is best in the comp in their position - an impossibility to achieve.

Only concerns for me are certain aging and unhealthy players. We may find ourselves a bit short on numbers in the pack in 2021 - very hard to read regarding how (if) Cords pulls up, how JWH injury wise holds up, how Jake is aging.

Hard to disagree when you put it like that. A few other clubs would like our 'problems'.

It’s sad to know that you are willing to shoot an individual that has a different opinion to you, says it all really..

Also please find where I said I want the perfect team? Another fabrication

I don’t believe Lachlan Lam is the answer in the halves moving forward, I do think Walker and Keary is definetly the solution!

That said, Robbo inadvertently blamed Flanno for our early exit this season. Whoever replaces him is gonna be under a lot of pressure to perform I reckon.

I thought Flanno was alright. They're gonna have to be better than him!

that's a genuine concern but if we got him for not much (which we probably wouldn't) then he's worth a shot. i'm not writing lachlan lam off in 2021 - he hasn't had a good long crack in the starting 13 and could go well, but having widdop for next year would give us options

Flanno will be lucky to make a single line break in his career.

The deficiencies in his running game are so profound that Robbo knew he had to move on now.

                  Agreed.

What surprised me was Flanno’s lack of running game was evident even whilst he was at the Sharks, not sure how Robbo would’ve missed that..

There's gonna be no quick fix here. The Chooks are in for a post Cronk Melbourne experience but a Messiah will come just as Lam Snr came and Gary Freeman came in the darker days and gave us all something to crow about. It won't be instant unforch, there'll be a few Kurt Sherlocks tried along the way but, eventually, we'll acquire Adam Reynolds and then, back in bizzo.

Could we get Latrell & Cody as well.

I think Robbo likes running halves. For example Watson and Lam are (IMO) relatively one-dimensional halves. However, he'll choose them even if it means we're not gonna have a reliable conversion/penalty kicker.

Makes sense as you wanna score tries above all. Also in terms of running, you can't train people to be twitchie, instinctive runners (a lot of it's in your neuromuscular pathways - some people are just 'quicker' an more dynamic, and always will be no matter how hard others train). However, I reckon a lot of other coaches will select more technical halves above the better ball runners. IMO Robbo's pretty unique in his selection style (not saying that's a bad thing - he wins premierships).

Agree Izzy on the genetic lottery when it comes to speed , you can train technique and people will improve but it's what you are born with that separates athletes.
The same with stamina , strength or punching power, you can learn to run longer and lift more weights and punch better but you will reach a ceiling depending on your parents and the athletic genes they have passed on to you.

Wests Tigers / Knights and Cows are in the mix as most clubs dont have cap space even though 300k is apparently his asking price- 100% he wont be at the Chooks

Some fans don't get it that Flanno was a stop gap measure, and that the premiership window is still open with the likes of Keary and Teddy still in their 20s. Would you have been happier sticking with an inexperienced halfback and squandering the opportunity to win another premiership?
