NOBODY] so it's no try [although they had a massive overlap and it was a great try]'. I can picture them scrutinising certain teams more than others on such technicalities as well. Fark me!!!
Going back and looking for any reasons to disallow what appeared to be a fair try is so retarded. Now it's EVERY try. Just pathetic. Why not stop the game and go back and review every single play since the previous try as well? That makes just as much sense.

Vlandys and his "entertainment" business. The games gonna look like wipeout being played in a big brother backyard.

The try reviews should actually be faster now. They trialled this last year and it worked relatively well - the on field ref is now more likely to just give the try knowing someone will be reviewing anyway (whilst they set up the kick - it’s not like they have to stop and wait every time). The on field ref will only stop the game if they think it’s no try.

This way also prevents obvious misses by the referee and makes sure the right call should be called no matter what (*as long as the video ref gets it right* now that is the big if) - not depending on whether the on field ref is too biased, video ref happy or too hopeless to send it up or not (ie the Souths winger who scored this year whose foot went out and they didn’t check it).

This is nothing - just wait for a few years time when they put gps trackers in the ball and blow the whistle every set when they catch a forward pass

What needed to be fixed is

          7 tackle rule

An attacking team knocking the ball on in the in goal - should be 20 metre restart and 6 tackles
Kicks inside the 20 that go dead - should be 20 metre restart and 6 tackles
Field goal attempts inside the 40 - should be 20 metre restart and 6 tackles - outside 40 7 tackles

Get rid of golden point - above would fix this - only used in finals after extra time

          Reserves

Should be 2 reserves for when players are ruled out of the game through injury or failing the HIA

          Sin Bin

5 minutes for repeated infringements/professional foul
          10 minutes for foul play

          3 Tacklers

Ban the tactic of 2 defenders holding a player up so a third defender can come in an target the knees/legs/ribs etc of the attacking player(prowler i think they call it) - Look at the Keary Tackle vs Storm - held up by 2 Storm defenders and the 3rd defender targeted his ribs - suffered busted Ribs and a rushed trip to hospital

          Other Tackles

Ban the arm around the neck hold by defenders - any tackle around the neck and head should be penalised and offender sin binned.
Ban the one were a defender is tackling the attacking player around the ankles and other defenders then pull the attacking player the other way ( not sure what is it called) matter of time before players suffer serious injuries from this - ankle/leg/knee
Ban Head and back slam tackles too

          Play the ball

Should be able to play the ball anyway you like - forward or backwards

I remember Fittler's Try against Manly in 1996 - 1/4 final - he made a long break and as tackled near the line - played the ball forward and scored

Not sure about raking for the ball in bringing that back - but i used to like seeing it done.

Captains Challenge - 2- add more things to be challenged i.e no try rulings - have a tv on field where the captain can say why they think video ref got it wrong - i know NFL

Should be straight away not after looking at the replay - cant do this in Cricket - watch it and or seek advice from the dressing room

          Kick-Off after Tries

Teams can elect to receive the kick off or kick off after scoring a try

Can happen at any time during the game - After scoring Teams down say by 6 or less points with time running out can elect to kick off - either long to try to force an error or short kick off to regain possession

Ludicrous. Watch how many injuries there are now as the game speeds up and the ball is in play even more. 2 point field goals? Fvck me dead.

I just wish they would bring back the biff. They all want to do it & we all like watching it & nobody really gets hurt so just let the boys have a softening up period.

Latts is gone. His foot never touches the ball in the play the ball. Can they introduce a rule to stop the Storm holding the ball at the back of the scrum thus making teams think it’s out hen it’s not and getting a cheap penalty.

JWH could be in trouble with that one if it's enforced too.
I think the injured player rule is a good one as it will stop the trainer's holding the game up to give their team a breather.
Field goal rule is silly and I still think a player should be rewarded with a scrum for kicking a ball in to touch instead of a handover.

I can hardly wait until the 39th minute of the round 22 clash between 10th placed Tigers and 15th placed bulldogs when Luke Brooks’ 40 m 2 point field goal is overturned by a successful captain’s challenge which shows 1 mm of his boot touching the 40 m line. It would have been the only 2 point field goal all season. In a post game press conference PVL laments the over thick line markings and introduces a new rule change for the rest of the season that says the markings have to be reduced by 10 cm. The internet goes crazy suggesting this is an inspirational rule change that will help speed up the game - or is that the speed up of the fans leaving the ground shaking their heads in disbelief.

The Six again should be an additional six tackles added to the current set - currently a team gives away a 6 again on tackle 1 its 7 tackles - Under my one the team in possession finishes the first set of six then gets a second set of six as a result of the infringement (12 tackles) - if teams keep on infringing them more additional 6 tackles are awarded.

This would really clean up the ruck and reduce infringements as what team will be wanting to have to make 12/18/24 etc tackles in succession

They should have fixed the forward pass calls.

it seems like they want novelty for novelty's sake. if promoting attacking footy is an aim then giving 2 pts for a field goal and keeping the now you see em now you don't strip tackle are stupid.
