Meehan was promising. Played one game and went alright. However, he got arrested for bashing the bejeezus outta some random dude to steal his watch. Later turned out that he was doing that as he was working as a standover man for some criminal gang.

We punted him... my understanding is that he's boxing now. Doubt the NRL would want him back.

Kennedy was also pretty good when he was on the juice.

Willie Meehan after being sacked by the Chooks came back and played reggies for Manly before being released and signing with Parramatta to also play reggies - 1 NRL game with the Chooks player # 1143 - last time he played was 2017 with Parra before becoming a full time boxer although his last fight was in early 2019 - 9 Fights - 9 wins with 7 by KO - Be 26 this year.
