The site is out of date as Radley is listed as a hooker which he first played as in the NRL - He is now a lock

I’m one of those posters who think the club should go after a young forward but you make a good point regarding Poasa, the club must have some confidence in our younger boys coming through along with there really isn’t anyone appealing on the market.

Turning 4's into 6 is still paramount even with the rule changes to win games - SST wont be playing 80 minutes week in week out so other players with goal kicking ability will need to hone this skill after training as they will be needed on match day. Even the kickoffs is a skill so who will be doing that - line dropouts and general field kicking .

As i sad earlier Keary and Lam if they are the halves don't have big kicking games - not sure about Walker and Keighran in these departments if they are considered for NRL for one of the halves position.

Keighran does have a 90% kicking average but a very small sample - 9 out of 10 (2019) for the Warriors - played only 9 games with the Warriors during 2019/2020 so that may indicate he is more of a back up player like Hutch than a regular NRL starter.?- This is his 4th NRL club though having been at the Dogs/Riff/Warriors so one would say he needs to step it up as the Chooks have shown if it doesn't work out the player is let go.

Just in regards to Keighran King Salvo, did you see the interview with Adam on the Roosters web site?
          https://www.roosters.com.au/news/202...adam-keighran/

I'd be interested to know if anyone else comes away from watching that video with the impression that his answer to the first question asked of him was none too convincing to not at all convincing. Also generally that he doesn't seem settled into the club and with the other players. Lots of shoulder shrugging and cliches used throughout the interview. Just my view watching him closely and I'm probably way off the mark.

Dan Fifita has a ton of potential, that is why Farmer was let go.

Suggests as you say that they must have some confidence in Daniel Suluka-Fifita for a start.

Poasa mentioned that he "thought it was time to step out my comfort zone" so perhaps it was he who initiated the move to the steelers.

There you go. Got there before me. I look forward to his development over the course of this year.

I'm not quite with you there TLR...was quite impressed with the interview nice mix of humble yet determined. Sounds a good fit for the club.

I think he was nervous TLR and being new to the club he as he said is still finding his feet and getting to know the other players and coaching staff etc- at least the ones that returned to training as many of the main ones were still on holiday at that time - all would be back now i assume - Cords is undertaking modified training - not sure if he attends the main training sessions or is doing one on one training away from the group?.

Fair enough JFC. Realise I'm being a bit pernickety.

Good luck to Adam this year as I thought he was bought across to be the goal kicker the Roosters need. Yet it seems that Lam is ahead of Keighran according to Bronterooster.

Yes, nerves are a possibility King Salvo. He just seemed so unsure of his responses to me (lots of shoulder shrugging).

As for Cords, I have no idea how he is being managed. Perhaps Kelvin Johnson or someone else closer to things can shed some light (assuming of course that is what you were asking).

He'd been at the club for three days, it's not like he's had a chance to go and have a few beers with Rads or a deep and meaningful with JWH

No one really knows for sure but the Roosters brain trust think he can play, Im happy to give him a crack & see what happens over the first 12 rounds.

Just looked and sounded like a kid with a bundle of nerves. I wouldn’t read too much into it mun.
