With 2 top 30 spots left i have a feeling that Abbey will be signed for one year- a Reece Robinson move perhaps as 2 of the other train and trail are hookers (Beavan/Deakin) leaving Volkman((6/7) and Montgomery (Prop) the candidates since they have 3 hookers already. Not sure if they have some others in mind as the 29th player has to be named by Match 31 and the 30th by June 30.

From the list below Chooks have 4 goal kickers - Hutch/Lam/Tedesco and SST- Not seen Tedesco or Lam kick though- Volkman can kick- so it looks like SST will be first choice.

By Abbey do you mean the guy who played for the Dogs? He’s rubbish from what I saw of him in the NRL.

On a personal level for Kyle, to really achieve his potential, maybe he needs to look outside himself a bit more.

I can't recall much praise for his club or team-mates...too much introspection and poor lil ol me kinda stuff.

Great sportsman are humble, combined with their intensity and focus still there, and appreciative of those around them.

      Tude matters.

He was brought here to be developed and guess what Kyle. development is a two way street and you stayed in neutral and did not develop.
If he fitted in and wasn't such a little prat I think he may have been given more time, but he wasn't. I think I trust a multi premiership winning coach over some spoilt brat

He wasn't treated harsh, he got paid and did not deliver on what he was paid to do, what else did he deserve but to get sacked
Without going into specifics Kingy mun, how do you know that he didn’t fit in?

Shane Flanno is a scum bag. The true reason Wayne Bennett reneged on his handshake deal with Politis. And he’s a drug cheat. Apples and trees....

          Kyle has a vagina.

“ Victor got injured so that hurt kyles chances of developing “ LOL why should a lock help develop a half? If your good enough the only person you need is yourself really!!

My gut feeling says YES! I base my opinion on the maturity Sam shows on the field. He's a very intelligent player in the DCE mould and he's tough too. Many go on about his frame etc but young Mitchell Moses aint that much bigger in size and handles himself ok.

The pressure's going to be on young Lam......shape up or ship out!

I’m not trying to detract from Walker but Moses does not handle himself okay at all. Moses is a talented dude but physically he struggles big time.

Obviously Walker is only 18 and a lot of growing to do and filling out but using Moses as a frame of reference for his well frame lol is dangerous waters.

                  kicking game great
                  passing game ok
                  running game avg

                  hard working....not a natural

I didn’t mention that he has had the inside running in his development. He should have shut up or thanked the chooks for the opportunity.

I think Kyle's situation was poorly handled by the club but if you're still complaining months later, it's not going to help your image either.

I think nobody has a clue what went down with Kyle and the club.
It was an odd year with the bubble so I imagine it was difficult to form strong bonds outside of the training paddock.... no Cronk for to bubble... rule changes require a different type of half maybe???
But who knows what the club was really thinking??
They haven’t said a word and are very good at containing information...
i don’t care... he is gone and on we go!!!

Abbey's a fullback one of 5 on train and trial - 2 others are hookers in Beavan and Deakin (Chooks have 3 hookers already in the top 30 ) - 1 a 5/8 and half in Volkman and a prop in Montgomery - 2 spots available in the 30 - 29th has to be announced by March 31 and 30th by June 30. - There are also 2 development spots available.

Unless they have others in mind i figure the 29 and 30th spot and the 2 development spots will be out of these 5 players on train and trial. - Lussick wasn't on train and trial though and was signed as the 28th player.

                        Wait and see i assume

I think Johns is right on this dont rush him into NRL needs a year or so in the lower grades first - "Sam Walker – too early, he's only a baby, let him develop and play lower grades "

I think Johns nailed it - with Radley out Tedesco took up this role which was detrimental to his usual fullback role as well.

Johns added that Flanagan was a victim of the injury to young star Victor Radley, who went down earlier in the season with an ACL injury.

"When Victor Radley got hurt, Radley was their link in the middle of the field," Johns added.

"When he went, Kyle Flanagan took on a lot more responsibility.

"Also, Luke Keary had those head knocks. I don't understand it."

Gees that would be smart - Lam doesn't work out so punt him and Walker doesn't work out punt him as well -Walker needs a season at least in the lower grades - Canterbury cup - before he's anywhere near ready for NRL

I have one question I’d like answered honestly:
Had Lam not gotten injured, would Kyle have come back into first grade ( only judge Lam by the form he was showing at time of injury)?
