I think the plan is for Keary to start at 7 and Lam at 6. Is Lam a good kicker?

Goalkicker? No pretty average, similar to Hutch.

SST will be the main kicker, but backup option is not clear to me.

If Billy plays probably him, but assume JMoz gets first dibs in the centres.

I'm not OP but Lam had a handful of kicks for the Bears in 2019, 0/1 in the NRL. He could be turned into a solid 75% kicker if he practices and has good coaching.

We have two very good goalkicking coaches in our ranks already.

fitz and taylor ? oh well no problem then , close the thread . nah it is a problem , i admit, am i overly concerned meh in between ...same as whoever partners keary in the halves....total 50 / 50 s , but if both go south , we could be in trouble.

Well I thought that may be the case with Lam unfortunately. Maybe Fitzy and JT can put him on an intensive kicking program. I remember we had the same concerns going into a season a few years back and then Latrell surprised us all with his brilliant goal kicking.

Yes SST kicking record looks suitable. Two big buts for me are
                  1) he won’t be on the field FT and
                  2) his kicking Stats have never been across a full season. Kicking in the odd game as a fill in or test match is nothing like being the number one for a season. His stats could well be inflated as a result. Relying on SST is a it worry.

All tries to be scored under the posts!

But seriously, Robbo must have a plan. The only thing worrying me is goal kicking. SST is a stop gap option at best. As well as his recent leg/knee injuries.

Bring in the NFL conversion method but without the scrimmage lines - opposition sides can rush out from the goal line to put the kicker off like in Rugby or some sort of distraction just outside or under the posts like in the adds for that Holey Moley Show

SST to 5/8 solves all your problems.

Scorer kicks perhaps. Have to wait and see

Our starting kicker will be Lam/Keighran, SST as backup.

Robbo has ordered Fitzy to spend a shiteload of time with Lam getting his technique up to scratch. Keighran can already kick.

Wow you must really be in the know.

To me Robbo doesn’t come across as the ordering type.

I don't think goal kicking is the dilemma.
I think the dilemma is whether a few of Verrills, Rads, Sitili, Lam, B Smith, Iku, Hutch or Butch raise the bar this year.
And we need one or two of Fifita, Keighran, Walker or Sualli to rise to prominence like the proverbial meteor.
If that happens, we are guaranteed of our 3rd premiership in 4 years.
