Of course, apart from anything else, Trell is entitled to go for the big dollars anywhere. His years at the Roosters marked him as someone special and recruiting that will cost plenty. Besides, he would have a largish extended family to help and the way that our indigenes look after one another is one of the truly beautiful things about that culture.

He would be a waste of money to any team at the moment...I would not sign him no matter how desperate I am to win.
If he played his cards right witha bit of patience he would be that million dollar player etc.

As much as he is an undoubted superstar with a, possible, glittering future there is always that pull of home and family as others here have recalled about Andrew Walker. He will keep on accumulating the kilos for sure and will probably eventually become a Middle if he survives the shotguns and the quad bikes. It is tragic that so many indigenous talents become cultural victims. What makes them happiest can also destroy them. More money isn't going to help that.
