Dragons bailed and V'landys has made it clear that a bloke who goes to church every week to stand up with have anti-gay rants is gonna have to find a better, more loving God if he wants redemption (highlighting how this can feed into suicides, depression, discrimination...etc). I suspect the Dragons were handed a file on him by the Tahs and have concluded he's an all-round douche on multiple levels.

We already have Suaalii, Toops and Manu. TBH I don't think he'd make our squad on merit. Also, this isn't exactly great timing to be pushing away sponsors by backing a homophobe (hint: most corporates will have diversity policies... including the NRL). The Dragons considered that as they were desperate... and they still walked away!

If you squint, it could be the late great Bob Hawke

The Folau thing highlights much more than the opinion (I could not think of the appropriate adjective) of a footballer. but again if he had any brains he would have kept his mouth shut.
Its shows how the media perpetuate hate and controversial opinions to sell papers.
Also little Irish pricks should not run our national carrier
The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

I find what’s on the left a lot more interesting.

              100%

I reckon the entire thing would be in a totally different direction if the little bugger didn't have man loving small mans syndrome.

On merit, I think he would earn a spot quite easily. Suaalii is not likely to play much in 2021 if at all, so a 1-2 yr deal for a proven top performer would be worth the risk imo. Worked well for two twin bros recently.

The stupidity of the whole thing is that the NRL lets in alcoholics, wife beaters, womanisers, flashers, people who break and enter, assault innocent people... criminals of all sorts yet a guy with religious beliefs is not welcome into an 'inclusive' competition.

                  Bugger me!

Its the usual debate about what one can or can't say and whether it infringes on one's civil liberties etc? - It does bring up the Question of whom the NRL have and have not allowed back into the game though as some re-admitted have served jail time even.

It would have been all down to sponsors in the end - they would walk or be forced to walk away from the game due to the various campaigns that would be waged against their organisation if Folau was allowed back

Go's to show you how influential the LGBTI are in society nowadays. Id let him back but Id let anyone back well almost anyone, if you would have harmed any child or animal then your not welcome back.

Why does the ESL & possibly Rugby clubs allow him to play?

It wasn't that long ago that homosexuals were shunned from the NRL. In 2021 homophobes are now shunned to the point that they are excluded. I hate Folau. I think he is an ignorant fool but does that mean that he should not be able to play the game? We all know there are worse individuals in the game.
