Whatever dude. You’re obfuscating and ducking and diving.

Pretty much everyone agrees that a person’s social posts and religious beliefs shouldn’t hold any legal water where employment is concerned.

Equally, no employer should be compelled to employ someone who may not be a great cultural fit.

So we are all pretty much on the same page, cool? Cool.

But that’s not really your issue now, is it? It’s your fear of SJW’s and their quest to normalise “perverted” behaviours, yeah? And when the stakes of that game are suicidal children then you’ve not only thrown the baby out with the bath water, but you’ve lobbed the entire bathroom and house with it.

Isn't it strange/concerning what we have become today.

I know you are a Canberran champ so lets have some fun... Six again!

It seems to me that this issue is boiling down to those who think being gay is a choice, vs those who think it’s how people are often born.

If you think it’s a lifestyle choice, then think again. I have been told by several gay people first hand that they have no control over it and with the wisdom of years can see that were gay way before puberty hit.

So if this is true, why is it acceptable to bash them? You may as well bash someone for being left handed.

One of the more egregious straw men I’ve heard. But you already know that, don’t you?

Surprised you decided to post that one under your “real” account, and not as one of your myriad faux Tory personas instead.

I really don't think it comes down to either off those.
For me and a lot of others it simply comes down to an individuals right to express his opinion.
Please note I do not agree with his opinion but respect his right to express it.
Also as pointed out some which may or not include you are simply latching on to the opinion he expressed out gays and not the whole speech he made. For me when you do that then that shows little respect for the people who lives are effected by Drug's , wife bashes , alcoholics , and gamblers that he also mentioned .

Everyone agrees with his right to express his thoughts. You’re fighting for a position that we all agree with!

This is exactly it, being gay is not a choice, but being ignorant is.

link below backs up what you said - not a lifestyle choice as many people may think - when i was at school they made left handed kids write right handed including caning them and playground detention (pick up rubbish) if they didn't

As a result of everything I have read, learned and experienced as a mental health worker, I long ago concluded that homosexuality is not a matter of choice. Instead, it seems quite clear to me that there is a combination of genetic and biological factors that cause people to become gay. Choice and willfulness have nothing to do with who does and does not become homosexual. Those who are gay have no more choice over their sexual preferences than those who are heterosexual.

Was this thread really about footy?

If it was, you would’ve mentioned Parras Nathan Brown and Chad Townsends love child in the photo to the left of Folau.
                          ..it’ll be interesting to see

In addition, surely everyone deserves the right to love, and be loved. And to have a physical relationship if they can.

Comparing “adulterers”, gamblers, etc with people who are expressing their biological and fundamental essence is, as I said before, a total straw man.

I guess this was aimed at me right? Even though you seem obsessed with my so called ducking and weaving, I have done neither, you seem to want it both ways, and your arguments go around in circles. First you say someones religious beliefs should not be used as a reason for not employing them, then you say employers have the right to not employ someone who they deem is not a cultural fit ??? I suggest you check on that with the anti discrimination commission.

And your footnote was pure demented ravings. I have wasted enough time on this.

What’s wrong with being left handed? I can’t believe we are now discriminating against handedness - you should be ashamed of yourself - I am right handed but am incredibly offended by your mindset and comments on behalf of the left handed minority.
