Be a big loss , Joey. Great player - seems to find another gear when finals come around as well. He seems like a really good guy. I wouldn’t bag him if he left at the end of this contract because other clubs were throwing more money at him and wanting him to play fullback. It’s 8 months until he can even talk to a club, 20 months until he’s off contract.

All this talk feels very early and based on nothing more than wishes and hopes. So much will change between now and when he signs his next contract, I doubt the Warriors would hold out and wait for a season for a fullback, there’s enough talent on the market in that position to get someone next year and if Manu decides he wants to leave because he wants to be a fullback then he’s going to leave nothing we can do unfortunately.

He has done nothing wrong, nor has he sought an early release using the old “ homesick “ excuse. He has served us as well as he could and if he wants to explore other options then it’s his right to do so, there’s no exclusivity on any player you hire to play for your team. I’d be sad if he leaves but as long as he does it in a respectable and professional manner then I wish him the best of luck, and as long as he wears the RWB he will have my support.
