3 of the players on a train and trial deal with us played today in the SG Ball game against the Steelers. Joshua Bevan who played at lock Zac Montgomery who played at second row and Tom Deakin who played at hooker. Montgomery scored two tries and Bevan scored one.

I watched the games last week as they showed the Tarsha Gale/Matts and SG Ball games the Chooks played in.

This week they showed other ones but i did tune into the CC Roosters Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley cup games - there are a few possible prospects in those teams -some one on the message thing when i asked if any of these players were signed by the Chooks said there were some and they would have been in the Matts and SG Ball squads but travelling to training and games from the CC week in week out is a tad hard.

The Chooks may need to have a permanent arrangement with the CC and even Norths to incorporate these areas into the Roosters Junior system going forward - it will take money of course but if they don't Newcastle and Manly may - I know the Chooks a few years back renewed this partnership with the CRL/CCRL but making it a permanent one would be better.

The Bulldogs are seemingly entrenched on the North Coast and Titans in the Northern Rivers area so the Knights will no doubt be looking at some stage to add the CC to their Hunter and New England Junior areas. - All NRL teams are looking at regional areas they can call their own= Penrith have Western NSW for instance

One has to say the chances of the CC being admitted to the NRL with or without Norths are slim or virtually no chance as the NRL are clear on their expansion plan being a second Brisbane team at least - whether a 18th team will be admitted is debatable but i dont see a Perth or 2nd NZ team being a candidate - more than likely another Queensland based team as V'landy's want's to dominate the Queensland market and has no plans for a new team based in a rusted on AFL state like WA.

That's some great results against the Steelers. They were supposed to be one of the toughest teams this year and have been undefeated for quite a few matches ? (SG Ball, I think).

Another thing this bloke was saying when i was watching those 2 Central coast Roosters games - Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley cups was the CC Roosters would be looking at having SG Ball and Jersey Flegg teams in 2022 as well as teams still in the Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley cups

Currently there is separate Harold Matthews teams but only the one SG Ball and Jersey Flegg team- Sydney Roosters that CC players could play for - Hard for the CC Roosters juniors to be able to make those sides due to travel issues in attending training- Need to be available and able to attend training to be considered for selection in the relevant squads.

The Johns and Daley cups are different ages to Matts and Ball and are aimed at country areas not city so its got nothing to do with travel. There is no separate CC SG Ball so its basically a combination. There are plenty of kids travelling to Sydney more than once a week from the CC for SG Ball and TG cup. There are less kids than you might think that are playing HM and SG Ball that are actually contracted/signed.

You won't get a permanent deal or arrangement anywhere but hopefully the relationship with stay for along time as there is a lot of money and time invested in the CC

only this year - Andrew Johns cup is under 16's the same as Matts usually is and Laurie Daley cup is under 18's same as SG ball usually is
