    Damn, he'd be loaded now!

My school bought its basketball team when I was in year 12 (sorry... 'IB scholarships') and had a couple of ex-King's (no not the school) players hovering around as coaches. The team got a national title. However, I can't find any of the dudes if you Google them (don't think any were good enough to go pro).

St Andrew's in the CBD had one of the best basketball coaches around (random business/economics teacher used to be an NBA player for the Celtics + stockbroker). They were always better than you'd think for a school with zero athletic prowess.

Willis Meehan is the only one who comes to mind who had legitimate hype around him and never made it. Although that had more to do with his off field discretions then talent I feel.
Willis Meehan, I remember he played one game for us before being stood down the next season. He also won the NYC Lock of the year if I’m not mistaken. Definitely one of those “what might have been” players.

Tautau Moga was talked up big time.

Moga joined the Roosters system at age 14. He took the next step and played for the Roosters SG Ball team before being fast tracked into the Toyota Cup team in 2011. Moga turned heads in the competition, scoring 18 tries in 13 games. In late 2011, he would have become the youngest Roosters debutant in 73 years if not for a new NRL rule barring players under the age of 18 from playing first grade.

Looks like we will be able to watch the game...

'You can see a number of our young guns on show for their first hit-out of the year when the North Sydney Bears (Roosters feeder club) take on the Wests Tigers at Kirkham Oval, Camden this Saturday 20th at 6:30pm, which will be streamed on NRL.com and Kayo Sports'.

              Thats interesting, Teddy Goat.

Previous advice suggested there were two games on the bill, Bears then Easts.

This suggests its just the one game with "Norths " vs Tigers at 6.30pm streamed live.

Looking at those photos from the recent training camp Suaalii is already pretty much the same size as Toups.

There doesn't seem to be a Bears game before the Roosters/Tigers trial game so no idea when/where Suaalii will be playing this weekend.

                        EVENT DETAILS

3:00pm — Gates Open at Kirkham Oval

3:15pm — NSW Women’s Premiership, Wests Tigers vs. Helensburgh Tigers

4:45pm — Jersey Flegg, Wests Tigers vs. Canberra Raiders

6:30pm — NRL, Wests Tigers vs. Sydney Roosters

I thought they had switched to the Sharks for a moment

Suaalii is massive for a 17 year old. I hope he tears up the NSW Cup before getting thrown into the first grade side as it would be rash to throw him into first grade straight away.
