He holds a few records though - most tries and most points for a club and most tries/goals and points in a game that will never be beaten though- When he was playing for the Adelaide Rams in 1998.

I have watched the Roosters vs Bulldogs at Henson Park quite a few times and Sandy Campbell was playing for the Dogs that day and despite him scoring a try he had an absolute shocker that day, the amount of ball he dropped especially in the second half helped Easts back into the game but it was the other winger that day Glen Frendo who is remembered more for that game trying to knock the ball dead and letting Wayne Challis swoop to level the scores and of course David Smith converting from the sideline to give Easts the win. I often wondered why Easts signed Sandy Campbell after the shocker he put on two seasons earlier.

I haven’t seen that either, very good.

I have taken two photos of stickers on cars in Canberra that I cannot find online, but won’t let me post them on here either.

one was like a VB beer sticker, but instead of VB it was VR with the word Victor on top and Radley on the bottom in roosters colours.

the other was of a cartoon Viking saying six again, with a cartoon rooster slapping him with the caption ”shut up”

If anybody knows where to get them, please post it on here.

I played baseball against Sandy Campbell - he was playing for the Canterbury Bankstown Vikings in the NSW Major League comp - He wasn't a bad player i might add - I remember when we played against Cronulla Sutherland Sharks in the same comp at their ground (Tonkin Oval) Steve Rogers used to come and watch a fair bit as he was a fan of the game.

LOL that's me every day chatting online to my young Faiders colleague who actually went to school with Luke Keary (who is going to be a father again soon). We agreed to talk about horse racing instead as I'm helping him develop his intuition.

You're probably right. He had a fair bit of ball skill & could put a team mate in a gap but he was so slow moving.

Can anyone remember why he didnt play in the 2000 GF? Was it injury??

A wet track is a great leveller. Have no doubt Tod Byrne would've left Sattler for dead on a dry one (that Roosters team hated rain!). Sattler has dined out on that tackle ever since and got good media gigs!

Jackson Hastings went on to win the player of the year in the English Super League...he couldn't have been all that bad!

For me, can't go past Fatty Vautin was the worst signing we ever had. Very good player for Manly and Queensland, but did N-O-T-H-I-N-G in the red, white and blue!....his heart wasn't in it. Saw a ball go to ground right in front of him one game and he just stood there and looked at it!

Don't take this the wrong way mate, but on reflection, I'm glad we didn't sign you.

Ahh but Jacks – I have it between the ears. I would have deffo gone infield.

                      That's pretty awesome!!!

Fortunately all the Faders BS seems to have gone away for now. It was fukking annoying because in 2020 they were a vastly inferior team to us that only got close because they had a ridiculous hack of a rule interpretation go in their favour.

I'm so over locals (not even footy fans, let alone Faders members) telling me the Faders outplayed us and the refs are cheats. I mean what a farking crock. If people wanna discuss the game then I'm happy. However, most of the whingers I put up with watched no footy for 3 or more decades, then overnight decided they knew quite definitively that the Faders 'beat' us but for cheating refs. That or they were long-term Souffs fans having a go at me (which is fair game).

The above was disappointing to me because I hoped the Faders lucking their way into a GF would result in more Canberrans showing a valid interest in the NRL. Alas... I think a bit like Trump's line that the election was rigged... spreading BS corruption claims about a fair contest only results in less of your potential fans showing up on the day coz they reckon their support will make no difference. WHEREAS... a message like 'it was close... we got edged out by a cashed up, big city club with lotsa stars that was expected to win by 30 points, but we'll be back for round 2 in 2021... we'll be training hard to make sure we go better next year no matter who we're up against...' gives people the message that it's game on and their support will make a difference.

Nice job of selling your club Sticky, ya wanka!

Paul Vautin was the worst to ever represent the Roosters imo.

In fairness Casty could have won us a premiership if the refs weren't clowns

                            It was definitely a try.

Agree JT. He was such a great person and I had my photo taken with him once. He tried bloody hard for us and shame more people don't recognise this. Always easy to take cheap shots at others who have no idea what it's like out there.
