Very unprofessional planning for a team of our quality. Now we have no goalkicker and no established halves combination. Ridiculous position to be in. We will struggle.

I think Lam will have a breakout season. Lol @ people writing off a 22 year old half.
Cody Walker didn't even debut until he was about 26. Jahrome Hughes just had his breakout season as a 25yr old. Oh and he's a pure running half.
Kyle Flanagan is the slug's slug. This is the era of threatening the defensive line with direct play and speed. See the 2020 season's of Luai, Walker, Cleary, Wighton, Hughes, Munster, Keary, George Williams... all a combination of acceleration, speed onto the ball & with the ball, and directness at the line.
Flanagan is none of those qualities. He wouldn't threaten the line in the NRLW.
Robbo knew this. Just remember that he recruited Flanno BEFORE the 6 again touch footy rule was created. His decision to change to Lam, cruelled by injury, was actually Robbo thinking on the fly and recognising that with the new rule AND the absence of Rads, way too much pressure was on Keary without a duel halves threat.
So give Lam a go before writing him off. We'll be playing a style of play in 2021 based purely around speed, momentum, attacking the ruck with arrows and playing off the back of it out wide. It may well suit young Lam perfectly.

Will Keary be defending next to Manu? If so this will be a massive weakness that’s my only concern with the switch.

Am I the only one who would love to see.
1. Suaali
6. Teddy
7. Keary
I'm not overly excited by Lam or Hutch
Alot of talk around Walker , but still very much the unknown.
I think teddy would have what it takes to go from world class FB to top shelf 5/8th... similar to Lockyer.

But could happen in a a couple of years or even after 1Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

you'd like suaalii to be eased into nrl footy and it would be a tough gig to play at the back when you're so young. billy smith's injury means we might need him sooner than planned and then the ball's in his court
