Entertaining interview. Denan Kemp has a raw interviewing style which i guess is consistent with a " Bloke in a Bar".
He also has a "Bloke in a Bar" beer which is consistent with his Rugby League career....very ordinary!

      Thanks for the link!

One thing he prides himself on is not trying to pull people's pants down with controversy and stuff.

Can't say I remember him as a player (I think he was a 71kg soccer player aged 18 when the Broncos decided he had potential and got him training with their 1sts).

Not sure what they were hoping to achieve outta that but he seems to be a much liked person. Will have to try his beer some time (although it reads as 'Bloke Beer' in the shops which turns me off it).

Latrells was good (besides the poor speech Haaa ) and he comes across exactly as I had thought of him.. not in a negative sense!
Minis was also a good yarn... heard a few of the stories before but always good to hear again!
I listened to Jackson Hastings Bloke in a Bar podcast the other day which was good, I thought. Sort of got a bit more of an understanding about why he fell out at the Chooks.

Can you let us know what the reasons were? I can't stand Denan Kemp's interviewing style so won't listen to him

It was more me getting an understanding of his rise to the NRL rather than getting a bit more of an understanding about why he fell out with the Chooks.
The reasons he fell out with the Chooks was attitude & his high opinion of himself that he was something special.
Hearing him talk about how when the Chooks had wrestling defensive drills for days to toughen him up because he was going to have to come off the bench & play in the middle & him going home battered thinking why am I doing this & that I should be looked after, this is when players like Friend who knows what it takes as a smaller player to play in the rumble in the middle got a bit tired of his cockiness but his entitlement attitude continued which just caused a bigger wedge between him & senior players.
But getting back to his rise to the NRL it was a case of a kid coming through with a Rugby League name who had talent & alot of people watching him & telling him things he wanted to hear. At aged 16, 17 he's got NRL clubs wanting to sign him up to pretty big coin, he had always been the main player in his teams coming through in the key position of half back & thought it was a given that he would play in the halves in FG. When he suddenly wasn't the main man he didn't cope but he did go to England to play in the the Superleague where he is the main man & firstly played for Salford & its such a good story, Salford in the year he joined them went from zero to nearly hero going 1 game short of the big dance he then joined Wigan where he played in the big dance in 1 of the best Rugby League games ever between St Helens & his Wigan 2020 GF.
I like the kid & I hope he comes back to the NRL because he has learnt from his time in England & deserves another shot in my opinion.

                Appreciate that explanation Mickie.

always wondered about the truth there.
