  • Knock On Effect Cup

    https://www.nswrl.com.au/draw/

Draws out for the nsw cup. A few double headers with the Bears.

Bound to be some more interest with the likes of Walker and Suualii likely playing.

Friday March 26 Bears v Souths as a curtain raiser to the main event. Hopefully Sualli reminds Souths what they didn’t get.

      Can’t wait!

      Thanks for posting JFC.

Big year for the Bears - excited to see what they can do with the xfactor of Suaalii and Walker getting better each game, along our other young talent coming up.

Cool to see that Round 10 that the Bears v Magpies North Sydney Oval game will be a standalone televised game on Thursday night prime time (NRL magic weekend fri-sun so all games will be in QLD)

Also they should have the Beer, Food, Footy Festival some time this year at NSO - was canned last year because of Covid but the concept has been a big hit for Newtown the last few years drawing between 6-10k crowds

Not wanting to break Bear hearts, but I imagine that Walker will spend lots of time rotating Lam and Keary.

Sualli will also come up when the Morris injuries kick in ($1.01).

Early in the season I think I'd prefer Ikavalu up, but once Sualli settles into weekly footy I think Robbo will find a point where he's comfortable promoting him to first grade.

Something to do with a partnership with Transport NSW and reducing death and injuries from MVAs I think.

Hmm okay. Thanks. Now to figure out what MVA means

edit: motor vehicle accident - damn, good to see the government still knows how to waste taxpayer's money.

not quite sure the 'knock on effect cup' works but anything to get people to drive more safely is a good idea. car accidents aren't fun

I though it meant a team conceding a try after they knocked on - effect of the knock on was conceding a try

Here's the press release plus the draw- 11 teams - 24 rounds - each team plays 20 games(2 full rounds) and have 4 byes. - No mention of the finals which i assume will be top 8

Drove past where the mighty East Campbelltown Eagles were in full training mode for the 2021 Sydney Shield season at the Waminda Oval International Sports Ground- looking sharp

Sponsoring an Aussie rules competition would’ve been more appropriate
                          ..it’ll be interesting to see
