One of my Sisters went to school with Lisa Wilkinson at Campbelltown High School (Year 7 to 12) and as she say's they are/were made for each other.- Very Very opinionated so to speak similar to the Red Cuban Bandana.

however when I read and I hate doing it - yes I’m a lazy reader -in lots of things either of them have written it is obvious to me that they are both very intelligent and often enough would make me see some of their side of the argument as at least fair - to the point it makes me surprised in myself. So well done to them for that.

Your signature sums it up. The sanctimonious attempts to shutdown debate by labelling everyone a "right wing nutter" fits in the category of cancel culture. There is no intellect about it. It is a hint of the authoritarian rule we can all expect if the Greens ever won government.

Bandana man had this to say today. I think he clarified himself appropriately. Whilst I'd love to see the kid play, if we are short, I can wait till August, as I think the bigger picture is a bit bigger than football.

Mentally it shouldn't be a problem. He seems mature and grounded for his age, plus we have a brilliant support system.

See? There's the rub. The Right Wing nutters (it's a label guys not unlike "lefty" and has the same connotations) hate debate and that's the bottom of their bellyaching. This is not a footy thread despite the title. It's an opportunity to slag off at a progressive columnist based on little else than the influence of News Ltd which misses no opportunity to pillory the left and that level of group think permeates the whole shitty organisation. Many on here, long since impervious to counter argument, have been drawn into that web - reactionary, anti science, anti intellectual anti environment and simply Right Wing (remember the Nazi "burning of the books? Whadya think that was about?).
