Oh stop it you love the banter with them. Would you love to see the Chooks v Souths GF & the Chooks win?
Would it be better than seeing them beat any other team?
Souths nearly get as much say on here as what the Chooks do.
I don’t want to see souffs anywhere near a GF. You know it would be handed to them. Their last premiership proves that.
That’s not true Jack & I don’t know why you said that. Myself & PC never start threads on Souths but do post on a thread that has been started here on the pen by a Chookpen member with a different view than most & that’s cool in my eyes. The politics Im not into but you are, I’m just a footy fan who go’s for & loves the Roosters & loves watching them play all the other NRL teams hopefully winning but if they don’t that’s okay.
Excellent post Mickie. I remember talking to Cannon about this years ago - we both agree that if you take away Souths, you take away our biggest rivals - leaving us with a very homogenised draw. Most Roosters or Souths fans always get an increase in anxiety/excitement levels leading up to our clashes and the same can be said for other codes and sports all around the world. How boring sport would be without the great rivalries whether it's football, tennis or snooker. The fact that this game isn't UNTIL ROUND 3 but everyone is up in arms already says it all really doesn't it? Maybe more people will tune in to watch now just to see those T-shirts. Me? Well the sun is coming out here this afternoon so I may take an evening walk after work in ONE of my B2B T-shirts as there are several styles..
And if people don't want politics on this forum, maybe they should reconsider their avatars...glasshouses and all that...etc...

We don’t need souffs to get excited and nervous about a game of footy, I’m just as agitated before every bloody game . I just hate the way souffs supporters cling on their 20 premierships and disregard the shambles they’ve been for the last 50 years. So I get great joy when I see them fail. I’ll keep enjoying and supporting the roosters with or without them.
Fark the Vermin and fark all of their supporters.
Wish they were never readmitted back into the comp - next best thing is to relocate them to Perth or Antarctica!
Bring back Melon and his wooden spoons.....fore those who do not know .Melon painted 300 wooden spoons painted them red and green and had them out to souffs supporters at or next game against them...bloody classic .
I still have one of those wooden spoons. It was their 'return' game to the NRL after their short but sweet banning. They got belted and the Vermin fans were so pissed off with the Chooks fans trying to hand them red and green vomit wooden spoons.
As for the bloated aging actor and his cheap and nasty T-shirts, Chooks fans can respond with proudly displaying our B2B premiership clothing. Something the Vermin faithful and their overhyped team can only hope to aspire to.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

See, they are the ones that make my blood boil....but without rivalry it would be bland and boring..I follow the Roosters on Linkedin and someone said how about a T-shirt that says "114 years still in the comp"

I got stuck on a train with a group of them back in April 2007 on my way back from a weekend wedding in Blackheath. Complaining because there was no DVD box set of their grand finals..I was so tempted to turn around and say that "you do realise that colour telly wasn't invented the last time you won any?"
