He just threw $20,000 cash into the garbage bin.
Roosters now have a "no-dickhead" policy according to many here in the Pen.
He's not very big, and big is king today, as seen by the current Premiers.
He's also injured, and yet to prove he's suffered no lasting injury.
If he keeps on his current path he might be inflicting himself on another club sooner rather than later.

"Beers, beers, beers and more beers"...gee, what could possibly go wrong?
      Answer...what has gone wrong.
Here's an idea, what about he gets a new policy into his mind:
      "One beer, then lemon squashes"!
You have a point. He's a great kid but it's a good lesson to stay away from any physical confrontations. No matter what the context, you can get done if you raise your voice at somebody or touch them. Society has a very low tolerance for any sorta aggression right now, so you REALLY wanna avoid it at all costs (particularly if you're a young bloke).

That aside, Radley's got a busted ACL and an awkward, drunken tackle coulda put him back another 12 months.

I get that there may have been some sorta chivalry involved but honesty... not worth it. Maybe in a bygone era but today I reckon you're asking for trouble if you get involved in other people's battles.

That is the big thing I take out of it too, tommy turbo did his hammy again in a drunken sprint race, these guys have a lot more to lose than the average joe on the street.

The Roosters have a no dickhead policy which I am sure that they ram down our players throats, because you very seldom hear of Roosters players stepping out of line these days.
That would include no DUI, drunk behaviour, touching or sexually assaulting females, no involvement in fights (unless it is self defence).no social media posts that are offensive or bring you into disrepute.
These guys are at the elite level and their careers can be completely F#@ked up if they step just slightly out of line - the ensuing publicity and the NRL can mean your career is over.
If you need examples , look no further than Jack De Belin or Ben Barba - heroes and elite sportsmen one day - washed up the next.
If you want that to happen to you , just be a dickhead. Even if what you are doing is morally right, there is too much to lose - stay out of it.
Given the Roosters statement on their website, I think they want this incident swept under the carpet as soon as possible, For good reason.
Hence you won't get any appeals, or anything that highlights the incident further. The punishment is accepted and the Roosters move on...

            Indeed.
And, if you tackle someone in the street, their head hits the concrete with force, or you punch them and the same thing happens...they can die.
Then you, the chivalrous one, have their death or brain damage for life on your conscience, as you serve your 10 year prison sentence like Craig field has had to do.
One punch, one tackle, can kill.

Then there's...you tackle someone, their mates take exception, and bash you senseless.

Apparently there’s more to the story band Ch7 reporting that if it was true and that he was defending a female then why the double standard of the NRL is genuine about women in league

So you’re not to hit a women or defend a woman either.

Actually the female reporter who’s looking into it is on Radley side, and questioning the NRL as to why they would sanction him if he was defending a woman from a party crasher who has allegedly pushed her.

Being a female myself I find the NRL sanctions on Radley extremely disturbing. On one hand they say players should respect women. On the other hand they fine and suspend a player who intervened when a man physically abused a woman. It’s sending the wrong message to young men to not intervene if the see a woman being abused. They talk about respecting women but it’s just talk.

Wasn’t the Corey Norman and Chicka thing to do with them being racially abused (or something)? I would have thought that too would absolve them, but apparently there’s no excuse to flog someone these days. Therefore Radley sticking up for a girl probably falls into similar territory in the eyes of the NRL
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

Spot on RoosterChick. More walk, less talk is needed.
