Wouldn't be surprised to see Fletcher Baker play some first grade this year especially if the injury issues continue.

He might have been if he didn’t hurt himself there. Big talent.

Matt Ikavula sent off for a “chicken wing”

Gotta love the lower grades.... that’s got to be up there with the worst officiating calls I’ve ever seen. Not sure it tops Ben Cummins sin binning of a broncos player being offside after the play ran for 60 metres but it’s right up there.

The Bears bench players should take up another sport. They’re not footballers. Have numbers 14 and 16 ever played before?

I don't think the commentators have realised that Ikavula was sent off

That Ikuvalu send off was ridiculous.

Wow!! What an inverted elbow injury by the Blacktown player after tackling Ikavalu.

Saddler, cust and shuster should all be in Manlys first grade team. The kid who broke his wrist looked good too.

Some very easy tries the bears are letting in.

The standard of reserve grade isn't great one has to say so players performances needed to be accessed with this in mind- Mixture of lower contracted NRL squad players and part-time footy players

Tough day at the office for the Bears. Some good moments but a few of the boys need to aim up better.

Butcher and Baker are stronger physically this year and both did some good stuff, need to make the tackles stick.

Some great touches by Walker and Suaalii. Personally I hope Robbo gives them both more time in the lower grades, they are both young and still developing.

Bears copped some dud calls that 2nd half. Hope Whyte not badly injured, he looks promising.

Thought the forwards were very disappointing . Defence in the middle was woeful.

Pretty poor team game by the Bears one has to say with no one really standing out for the duration of the time they played for Robbo's liking - a few fair plays here and there but need to be a full game effort and not one good play here or there- the standard of reggies is not great and is something they need to address going forward .

The Sydney Shield game i watched live yesterday between the Mighty East Campbelltown Eagles and Cabramatta Rugby League Club was a better game than this one. Few errors and 80 minutes of full effort by all players from both sides - went down to the wire as they say. East Campbelltown Eagles behind all game before coming back including scoring the wining try which was duly converted on the last play of the game to run out winners 28-24.

You won the game on 80 minutes of total effort and perseverance was some of the ECE's coach's sppech to the team post match.

Not sure what Taylor will be saying to the Bears players after that effort.- mmm well done - i don't think so- I think Robbo would go away a somewhat worried man - depth is not great based on that performance.
