I am discussing it until I was told by one of the so called supporters that only the ones who agreed with the opinion that Lam didn't have a future in the team were of any value to the discussion, read back and you will figure it out

def not going to speak for others here, my 2 cents is obviously i was disappointed with lams performance at the weekend . i thought he somewhat stifled the attack, and didn't really offer a hell of a lot in the 80 mins .

i defintley hope he goes out and absolutley kills it this weekend, not sure he will, but if he improves fantastic. the good thing with young lam is that if he does succeed he would be more likely to stay at the roosters for less given his ties to the club.

that in my book is a real positive.

maybe long term if walker develops as expected , he could play a mortimer type role in 2013, subbing jake or sam .

I don’t get how anyone can say he stifled the attack when we won 46-4. I only remember one other game where Lam played half and started and played all game and we won that by 50 ish from a hazy memory.

im not saying he is why we won by 40 on the weekend or even why we won the game I am thinking of from last year by 50ish. I am also jury out on Lachie as our 5/8 but I do get the feeling without going back through stats the couple off times he has started and played in the halves we have had big big wins - so to say he stifles is definitely not correct. IMHO

IMO, Lam is a weakness in a very important position, and I've stated reasons for this without resorting to abuse those who disagree with me. Some people on this site are unreasonable.

Poor comparison mate.
Lam plays a high profile sport, earns more than the average joe, is on telly every week and has passionate fans wanting to see him perform.
I think he knew what he signed up for.
People dont pay money to watch others work for bunnings.
All first grade league players get questioned.

We can find errors , poor form or whatever you want to call it in any player person or employee everywhere , just depends on how hard you want to look or judge . The majority on this thread disagree with your thoughts or the way you have gone about it. Think that may be an indication to you but it seems not

The worst thing about this thread is certain Lam supporters hurling abuse instead of presenting a contrary argument.
I'm pleased to say that you're not in that catagory, but I don't understand why you seem to think that players should be immune from criticism.

You have to admit it is not realistic to suggest the coach drop our #6 after we flogged Manly by 42 points in round one.

I don't think they should be immune from criticism, bit think when we will n 46 to 6 and he was moved from one position to another , has played 12 odd games then the criticism is unfair

Perspective...It was Manly... In reality it's just concerning that we have some difficult games coming up from next week and that Lam may not be up to tackling the likes of Souffs, Warriors and Storm. I know Walker may not be ready even though he reckons he is. Like Thirteen said, Lam is the best option we have at the moment, but I am one wishing we still had Flanagan cause at least we could rest assure that we would get the 2 points conversions. Lets hope we see Lam step up on Sunday because he needs to give Keary some support for all the more difficult games coming up.
