But I still remember seeing Flanno stepping up to take that kick from the sidelines to try and win the game against the Storm in the last minute. That took cojones!!! I was there! I would like to see Lam do something awesome!!!The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Personally I am really happy with a group of halves/dummy half we have. Keary, Lam, Walker, Friend, Lussick, Verrills and Keighran. I think Robbo expects to battle injuries over the season and we have real depth. Lam and Walker competing for a position can only make the team stronger.

There has been a lot worse abuse meted out to forum members and our own players sadly.
I still cringe thinking how poorly Brett Finch was treated by a small select group of "fans" and he has battled hard with his own mental health issues.

Those were different times and Finch was a NRL player and criticism comes with the territory. As far as I know he was never bullied or harassed by fans. Also, nobody had any idea he had those demons and they may well have only come about after retirement. Lastly, he sucked.Last edited by Johnny Tobin; 03-17-2021, 09:44 PM.

The pain of a disappointing NRL campaign eased somewhat for Newcastle Knights skipper Danny Buderus after the Test rake was named 2004 Dally M Player of the Year.
Buderus was in outstanding form this season, earning Australian and NSW Origin honours.
Buderus held out a charge by Sydney Roosters halfback and Dally M medal favourite Brett Finch to win by just two votes...it’ll be interesting to see

Walker is an incredible talent, but I would not be surprised to see him omitted from the starting halves, even at the end of this season.
There will be massive 105- 135Kkg forwards from opposition teams lining up to run at him.
And what does he weigh - 75-80kg wringing wet?
For this reason , I think Robbo will bring him on SLOWLY, and give him limited minutes in FG ( maybe 15- 20) minutes as an interchange player.
Just like Robbo bought Collins, Farmer, DSF- slowly into the fray, and slowly increased their minutes, when they proved themselves.
Walker is a kid, unproven in FG , up against wrecking ball forwards.
He has to get comfortable being "uncomfortable"
You do not want to shatter the confidence of the kid - its the job of the coach to make sure this doesn't happen.
I reckon his FG starting call up is a long way off - so Lam is definitely the go - for now.

Hog has to learn to be better than that. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe
