  • I thought Lam went alright yesterday. Improved from week before. He has one hell of a boot. Can really reef it high and long.

just because others have a point of view that differs to yours does not make you right.

quote all your statler and waldorf you want , lam as 5/8 th is not a long term affair , and no he will not be moving to hb.
I think you Statler and Waldorf's are too busy watching players you don't like or don't have a flattering opinion of instead of watching the whole game . Keary's role is not a traditional half back one it's a roving role playing either side he's see's fit - the link below will explain it- Read it

Talk about flogging a dead horse.

One person gives you your first and only compliment and now you think you are the chookpen's regular comedian Craig McLachlan.

                I blame you 13 ffs.

                • It seems that Lammy is the new Mitchel Pearce of the Chookpen. I thought he was solid again. Teddy and Keary were pretty dominant.

Lams doIng a specific role for the team at present 2 games in and has played his role in a team with 2 big wins to start.

Its conservative and he is feeling his way no doubt, but its not under 8s where everyone should shine and take turns.

If he gives champions like Teddy and Keary the space to play their footy, he's still playing a role.

He's strong positionally, always pushing up and on the ball and linking. You would have to assume thats what the Coach has asked of him so far. This part of the season its more important to get Luke playing the dominant half role and thats progressing brilliantly.

If you watched him progress through the lowers you would know he has plenty to offer in attack.

Fast step and feet, good short and longer kicking game...he just needs confidence to back himself more whilst not going against game plans. It will come with patience.

                    TIT.

The Statler and Waldorf's only have eyes for players they don't like or have a low opinion of- Not capable of understanding how the attack has been changed and even the game has chanegd- Keary playing a roving role either side or where he see's fit.

I think like their namesakes are they are stuck in a soon to be bygone era of left and right halves and haven't comprehended the game has changed as a result of the rule changes - maybe the 2 point field goal from olden times has confused them somewhat on how the game is played nowadays.

With Lam a running half as opposed to Kyle Flanagan's game-management focus, Robinson has given Keary licence to play what he sees in response to where he sees NRL playmaking heading.

"[Keary] is a footy player. His ability to go wherever he wants, that’s up to him,” Robinson said.

"I think we’re moving out of the age of left and right halves more and more and having halves that can move all over the park is a strength needed going forward.

"His ability to do that, Lachie's ability to move with him and Teddy as well, and then feel where the crease is going to be in the opposition and attack that."

When we expect too much of Hutch, then he’ll let you down but even though I like Freddy L, I thought Hutch was steady. Not sure why Robbo took Fredy off other than being a little sloppy from dummy half which could have been penalised for fwd passes.

Freddy looked pretty sloppy with some forward passes out of dummy half. He got away with a few imo. Hutch was very solid and did his job.

Lets not forget in this 6 again era you need a fast dummy half ..its ba must we can not afford Hutcho in the big games or bigger teams. Lussick has been great in first grade before...forgive and forget and go again.

Lussick is still learning, and we really can't be risking him the week.

                              • I am not bothered by Lam. I think he’s good for the team. Local junior, liked by fellow players.

With the salary cap, we can’t have superstars across the park filling every position (though we do a good job of it). We need players who command less of a salary but work harder to make up for it. Play on
                                ..it’ll be interesting to see
