Climate does change though - that's why there has been ice ages and areas in countries which were tropical forests with an abundance of water, fauna and flora that are now arid desserts- not man/person made events caused these - whether climate change is a man or should I say person made phenomenon is the question .

The old it's the hottest or wettest day in 100 years or since weather recordings have taken place phenomenon that is often used to reinforce the notion that it's because of us this is occurring.

No one really picked up on what Attenborough was saying about making flights more expensive so people wont fly etc to fight climate change and the contradiction in that he's been flying around the globe for 70 years.- Oh he's intending to stop flying now although because he doesn't like it.

Seems to be everyone else has to give things up or "reduce" their carbon footprint but these people can continue doing these things under the pretense they are alerting the world to the catastrophe ahead if we don't change our ways.

water is always going to be an issue in oz.
one unexpected advantage from this flooding is that it might get rid of those swarming mice

Well the wind just smashed into my kitchen knocking off few bits while I was in the shower but happy to report my vintage roosters teapot from Paddington markets and roosters vases all survived. They are still standing..I'll take that as an omen for the season..

This is the team we beat 46-4 (shoulda been 50-4). 26-12 for Souffs is only a 14 point win? Almost a loss in my books given how shyte Manly are. A dude at work who supports Souffs has been sledging our win all week. Meh... lame!

Your not really having a go at Attenborough though are you King? Can’t think of a single individual or even organisation that has done more to raise the awareness of the importance and wonder of our natural environment and all that’s in it.

Its a bit like having a go at a surgeon for using a scalpel to save people’s lives who have been stabbed because it’s a knife!

Well said. He's 94 so he really doesn't need to fly anywhere anymore to prove anything to anyone. Go Easts..regardless of the weather

You seem to think you are an authority on climate change, so I'll just leave this here - Dunning–Kruger effect - Wikipedia

                          I prefer to take my advice from recognised authorities;

                          Climate Change in Australia
                          NASA - Climate Change

All sites will provide answers to most of your questions and clarify assumptions.

Here is one possible explanation for Extreme Rainfall
"Attribution studies have also found that the warming trend in sea surface temperatures (SSTs) to the north of Australia may have contributed to the magnitude of recent heavy rainfall in 2010-11 in eastern Australia — contributing around 10 to 20 percent of the heavy rainfall anomalies. Another study found that the warm SSTs increased the chances of above average rainfall in eastern Australia in March 2012 by 5-15 %."

                          The data is overwhelming.

Don't worry about replying, I don't expect to change your mind.

Like Thirteen, I too don't care less. It is complete immaterial nonsense, but thank you for reporting and giving me a laugh during my Sunday afternoon pre-game build up. Go the mighty Tri-colours!

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
