go chooks.
Tigpies' roster has a lot of quality players who haven't quite delivered over the years (but could magically do so for 1 game... such players always seem to lift against us).
IMO it'll be low scoring and close! Baaah... don't mention potential injuries!

Thanks for representing those of us can't get there. The Tigers to me always represent a dysfunctional work place, the kind you don't want to be at. Good luck to the young ones too today.
To People out this way it's a Balmain team with a token Wests presence (little Magpie on the jersey sleeve ) even though Wests are the majority owner - for it to really work they need to be fulltime in Campbelltown
Campbelltown along with Illawarra and Canberra were bidders for the NSWRL Comp expansion for the 1982 season - NSWRL selected IIlawarra and Canberra and Campbelltown advised to be ready for further expansions.
Back in the early 80's Newtown almost came out here to Campbelltown - Newtown Campbelltown Jets was the plan but Newtown went into administration and were punted from the Comp before it could happen.
The Chooks were close to coming out to Campbelltown until the move was scuttled and Wests who were almost punted from the comp along with Newtown at the end of 1983 but were fighting it through the courts - i think Wests original won the case about expulsion from the comp but on appeal the NSWRL won - deemed they could admit or not admit teams to their comp.
That surprised me about the Souths case in the federal court decision which was later overturned in the high court that the NRL could admit or not admit teams to their comps
This move by Wests to Campbelltown as the NSWRL could expel them from the comp was assisted by Arthurson/Parker/Moore/Fitzgerald who were concerned that if the Roosters took over Campbelltown/ group 6 it would strengthen the Chooks - the same argument they used for when the Chooks wanted some of their areas back that Souths stole.
In those days decisions such as the Chooks taking over Campbelltown/ Group 6 had to have 75% agreement from the other teams - Manly/Souths/Parramatta/Dogs voted against it and I recall one other team abstained from voting (Norths I think) - 14 team comp back then - Wests and Newtown couldn't vote - so only 12 could - 4 voting against it and one abstaining meant the 75% agreement couldn't be reached.
How different it could have been if the Chooks took over Campbelltown/Group 6

Despite the wet and inclement weather, I tip the mighty Roosters by 18. Go the Chooks!MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
