  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Tigers

Let’s not sugar coat the fact that we are playing possibly the weakest club in the NRL today. We are short of troops but still strong enough to put a big score on that rubble. I can’t help feeling complacent against this mob but that’s ok cause I’m not a player. Robbo will get their heads right.

It’s going to be messy but if we control the ball we can put 30-40 on the board.

Good luck to the new boy Baker and Sam Walker who may get a run.

Hope to see some of you out there.

    Go Roosters!

We should win by plenty but with a wet track and way down on troops Roosters still by 32 - 18 . Hope Luke plays and all will be good . Lam to have a blinder and silence the doubters

I’ll take a scrappy win with no injuries. Best of luck to Baker and potentially either E Butcher or Walker if they get to debut. Up the Chooks!

I’ll be disappointed if they can score 18 against us.

Bluddy rain. The natural enemy of footy, or sport for that matter.

Won't be pretty or big, just need to get the points and get through healthy...touchwood.

Best kicking game and desire to win gets the cash today.

Danger game...5 day turnaround to Souths not ideal. Challenging week for Robbo and the coaching staff.

Just checked NRL website its saying "All vessels attending games today need to be moored to the allocated buoys".

Truthfully though, not sure re parking there mate.

I think this will be a tough game.

The Tigers will be desperate to get an early win on the board. And whilst they're not one of the good teams, they're not one of the awful teams either.

I'll be happy with a 2pt win and no injuries for the grudge match on Friday.

I remember going out there on a bus from the club in 2010 and they parked right next to the grounds so I think you should be ok, given the weather too. Hope you enjoy the game and stay safe. Thanks for representing those of us can't get there. The Tigers to me always represent a dysfunctional work place, the kind you don't want to be at. Good luck to the young ones too today.

yep, traditionally we're not great starters to the season and manly were awful last week and we're down on troops. today's about staying off the lattes until later and putting the overalls on. will be a good indicator of where are heads are.
