The best Fifita showed a bit of fire last week using Jared's collar swinging technique, I'm hoping he fires up even more

        Lol

It’s not Sam Burgess. It’s his fat ball-fumbling idiot brother that was well behind Sam and George. Our starters are more than a match for their forwards.

Is Connagh Takairangi related to ex Chook Brad Takairangi and Kiana Takairangi current Chooks NRLW player ?

Not sure King, but assume they would be related somehow

Guys like Cords, Friend, Teddy, Keary have had multiple HIA failures so I understand the protocol on them but if you get a first time failed HIA but you pull up fine the next day & then the next 5 days you are fine who says whether you can play or not?
It's all good. Souths will give Reynolds plenty of rest to recover from his concussion, after his contract runs out.

NRL needs to look as this issue when players fail HIA's - Should miss the next game at least and maybe more depending on the players history of concussions.. - need to come up with a minimum period the player is sidelined for based on the players history of concussions plus have a sub or 2 subs for when players fail HIA's.

Some may say should only be able to use a sub or subs for players failing HIA's as a result of foul play or no subs at all but i think it's gone past that stage.

The AFL have brought in a medical sub rule although it's a dogs breakfast as players can be subbed out for injury and not specifically failing HIA's

Under AFL rules, players can only be subbed out on the reasonable expectation they require at least 12 days to recover from a legitimate injury. With clubs required to provide a medical certificate detailing the specifics of the injury and recovery.

Although if the player is deemed fit to play other than concussions( sidelined for a minimum of 12 days) and get the AFL tick of approval they can play the following game. mmm you can see this being rorted by coaches.

A player who is substituted out of the match with concussion will be sidelined for a minimum of 12 days as per current 2021 AFL Concussion Guidelines in place.

As the NRL often follows what the AFL does it's time the NRL had something in place - need to be a consistent approach to this as some clubs do this well and some seemingly don't which could come back to bit them on the you know what in future litigation from ex players.

Ex Roosters player John Higgins is only the third player so far to take legal action against their former club- James McManus (Knights) and Brett Horsnell (Parramatta) the other two.

You can see down the track ex players wont only be taking legal action against their former clubs but also against the League (NRL) so the NRL needs to act pretty quickly on this.

One decent hit from Rads and Benchi won't be seen for the rest of the game.

Souths going through their drills for Friday night. Is that Cody Wanker with the slap and Tatola with the dive?

And you know it will happen! Bennett had Darius well versed with the art of diving and Souffs has also been well trained by Crusty

But it's always the poor Brazilians soccer team that get blamed for it lol!

Yep the more research that comes in re concussion the greater the duty of care. Helmets or headgear all round is a definite possibility in the future as is a closer look at the 10m rule which has big units coming at one another often at full tilt. I would think that most injuries are the result of those 10m collisions and from gang tackling which is also one to be looked at.
Unlike the days when defence stool level with the ruck, or even the 5 yard times that came later, the sport is now gladiatorial in a way that it wasn't before. Thank the Lord for adrenaline but I see big payouts coming if changes aren't made.

Helmets & headgear don’t stop concussions. Ask the NFL.
