I can’t complain really. They won back to back and were the greatest rooster side perhaps ever. The fact we keep trying and have so many up and coming exciting players such as Walker and Suuali has got me revved up to watch their progress. We’ve had a massive dose of winning over the years. So many minor premierships and already 3 trophies with Robbo. Now it’s time for a new breed to come through the ranks and who better than the Morris twins and Teddy to guide them? We’ve achieved what no team has achieved for ages so let’s hold our heads high.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

Is it time we looked to merge with someone like the Sharks and become a super club? Souffs consistently belt us, have more premierships, supporters, history and passion. We barely have an identity and have changed our name so many times before so why would one more change matter? Love the chookies but we'll never get out of their shadow unless we do something radical.

Too many youngsters, not enough experience and match fitness..
Sitili is not an 80min player unless we have the momentum the majority. Watching the game back, he gave numerous set restarts in defence purely due to fatigue.. being to farked to bother to let go and get square.
Lam is a passenger, no more than Flanagan was.. he's purely a short term plan until Walker is blooded. Even in our 2 big wins to start the year.. Lam did zero to impress or even leave a lasting impression. Hopefully not a long term plan if keary proves to be damaged goods.
I'm normally never one to blame the refs, but we played with too much emotion, and the ref officiated the game with too much emotion.
penalties 6 - 1 and ours not received until the final 5mins of play.. on which we scored.. seems legit.
Worst highlight of the game for mine was the ease in which Latrell put Manu on show.
All their tries were on the back of Manu rushing out of the line trying to shut down latrell, who has very silky hands and left Manu clutching, and Morris stranded.
Latrell - 1
Manu - 0
Plans from here?
Is widdop or Hastings an option.
Or do we shake up the spine and blood Walker & Suaalii
Looking forward to having Rads back, his ball playing out the back will relieve the pressure on teddy.. we're far too predictable in our 'Throw it to teddy and let him do something' mentality since Coops retired.
Meh... too baked for this rant to keep going.
Bring on next week!¡

This resulted in us losing our calmness, structure and ruthlessness.
I also believe this same thing happened last year when we got spanked but didn’t seem to learn our lessons.
But TiT as we will be back to playing “Rooster’s style” footy next week even without Keary ...

Also if Chooks and Sharks merged which they wont be - the new team would have zero premierships in any case. More fans is debatable too - if Crowe and Packer sell their interests all it would take would be a few poor years and they would be gone as they have no assets to speak of - Souths Juniors would not be able to prop them up for too long.
Only three name changes from Eastern Suburbs Tri-Colours to Eastern Suburbs Roosters to Sydney City Roosters to Sydney Roosters .
Nowadays real estate agents include suburbs which were never and should never be included in the Eastern Suburbs region of Sydney notwithstanding the criminal theft of traditional Roosters junior areas by Souffs Vermin who controlled the NSWRL mafia style at the time
Most people would struggle to name the true suburbs in the Eastern Suburbs as a result and for Business purposes it's better to be Sydney than Eastern Suburbs to broaden their appeal to sponsors and to a widening fan base.
The owners of the Team's NRL licence is the Eastern Suburbs Rugby League Football Club so there is still the Eastern Suburbs presence and historical connection.
As I said on league unlimited vermin souffs site how many Grand finals have you verms been in and won since colour TV was introduced in 1975 - 1 only - Chooks have been in 10 and won 5 - even going back 50 years - Souffs Vermin have been in 2 Grand Finals - 2 wins- Chooks - 11 for 6 wins - finals series appearances since 1975 or 1971 Chooks way out in front in these as well and other comps too plus world club challenges etc.
Souffs Vermin are not even in the Chooks rear vision mirror these past 50 years and are more like an annoying itch you want to scratch.
