I'm keen to see Joseph Suaalii play more and then Billy Smith shouldn't be too far away and then there's always Matt Ikuvalu who's a decent gap-fill player.
I don't think I have ever been disappointed more with anyone that had the hype, the reputation, the size, and the numbers in the gym , that pointed towards him being a star in our competition.
It just did not translate to performances on the football field.
For whatever reason, he did not seem comfortable in the NRL, and it showed in his body language.
About the only positive was him using that big frame to make meters from kick returns .but his finishing, and positional play, were well below par.
A failed experiment , both from his and the Roosters point of view.
Nudie runs for wingers is as rare as hens teeth.
2 years in a row, that record will not be broken
Ha you are right however it wasn’t 2 seasons worth of games - I’m guessing but he probably only played 20? Still I don’t think any winger would have played 20 games without a try in the history of the NRL.
He was the greatest example of why highlights reels should be taken with a pinch of salt. My god I though we had signed the reincarnation of dally messenger from all those highlight on him - then he was in reality useless.

What make it worse for the poor fella is he was on the end of arguably the best backline in the nrl

Which is exactly why I didn't watch the highlight reels for Sam Walker or Joseph Suaalii.
Has he still got the nicotine patches on his knees?
The one I never got was Reece Robinson. I validly rated him as a player in Canberra (a loooot of players wanted him to play FB over Duges coz he was better and didn't fark around off-field... or spend his life savings on creepy looking tats). He played 1 game, apparently 'lost his confidence' and BOOM... we never heard anything more of him.
In a parallel universe we'd have a team like...
1. Reece Robbo
2. Ryan Hall
3. Luke Towers
4. Tautau Moga
5. Joe Burgess
...
6. Jacko Hastings
7. Jayden 'white line' Nikorima
...
9. Craig Garvey

PS - just did a web search for Craig Garvey. 'He played for the premiership-winning Roosters just last year, but Craig "Garvs" Garvey has now found himself before the courts on cocaine supply charges'.
Given he never played and left VERY quietly during pre-season, it makes me wonder whether we've setup some pretty tight systems to catch such people BEFORE they hit the headlines + pollute our culture. Ignoring Gordon and LOD (they both found drugs after their time with us), it makes me wonder who's in charge of managing out culture. Smith was also punted from playing duties well before he went down the plughole. I suspect Robbo, Friend and Cords have a bit of a unit going to make sure we don't tolerate BS...
