The pack issue is not the issue ? Giving penalties away an errors while we have the ball! We still have a team to win it !

I have faith that we have played our worst an the best is yet to come

Positives are that despite losing Keary for the season they lost him in round 3 and not round 23. So they have time to work on new combo's and new game plans.

There are enough experienced players still there to be competitive and those players just need to do a bit more and drag the youngsters/inexperienced players along with them.

If they mope around thinking about how much of a loss Keary is then they won't be focused on the job at hand.

Its still the same game and a simple one - you play your best as individuals and as a team in all facets of the game then you are a chance of winning any game.

The seasons only over if they want it to be over.

So what's the go with friend? I am all for looking after our guys, but don't tell me because of the reaction ready fools like pete fitzsimpletons and co. will have our players out for half the year because of failed hias here and there.

Seems every other clubs players get concussed yet no scrutiny?

Get them back on the field, if cordner needs that long he should probably retire. Keeping players in bubble wrap when their brain is supposedly pristine is a joke.

Don't expect some miracle cure to come around as scientists are "working on it" perhaps biologically we were never meant to get hit repeatedly in the head.

And why we are working on new game plans and new combinations we will be dropping points we would not normally drop. Not a criticism just an observation. Suddenly games against teams we would expect to beat such at Sharks, Knights will now be much more evenly contested.

Either way I intend to be at every game and will always be there win lose or draw.

They need to cover themselves as well in giving the players the best medical treatment and advice available.

Even though well paid I would not like to be Cordner/Friend etc when there in their 50's or so where possibly footy will be a distant memory if one at all.

They are more than candidates for Dementia and Alzheimer's or mixed dementia as they call it - just about predict they will have either or both of these.

Big Jack Gibson had the triple whammy Parkinson's / Dementia and Alzheimer's - I remember the last time i saw him was at a Chooks vs Bulldogs game in 2004 at the Olympic Park - Athens Olympic torch relay - he was assisted by Big Artie and Dr George Peponis in walking around the ground and was shaking in a way similar to Mohammed Ali. Didn't recognise anyone including his Wife Judy at the end.

No other choice - a simpler game plan is what is needed and then tweaked when combo's gel.

Defence will be a key and paramount during this period and beyond.

I figure they would have budgeted scoring say on averaging 28 to 30 points a game during the season - now maybe 18 to 20 at best which may or may change when/if combo's gel.

So that will mean the defence will need to limit teams to less than 18 in this example and basically they will need to be able to defend what points they do score.

Well our forward will need to be more dominant then. Got owned in the trial and got owned verses Souths. Can’t work out why. Individually we have some of the best forwards around.

It’s business. No point in paying someone to sit on the sidelines while chewing up the salary cap. One more chance for Cords and Friend.

People hate me talking about ACL injury gradings, but based on the description on nrl.com, I think the door's still open for Keary to return.

                    https://www.roosters.com.au/news/202...pdate-round-3/

                    - Scans have confirmed that Lachlan Lam has sustained a moderate MCL injury to his left knee. The rehabilitation period is expected to be six weeks
[Presumably a grad 1 MCL or something? Bruised... will heal itself in 6 weeks with proper rehab...etc]

                    - Scans have confirmed that Luke Keary has sustained an ACL injury. The Club is consulting specialists to determine the best course of treatment.
[99% chance he's out for 12 months but IMO this suggests it might be a grade 2]

Side note on Grade 2 v Grade 3...
                    https://www.physio-pedia.com/Anterio...t_(ACL)_Injury
                    - Grade 3, there is tenderness, but limited pain, especially when compared to the seriousness of the injury (Keary was in a looot of pain)
                    - Grade 2, Painful and pain increase with Lachman's and anterior drawer stress tests.

Don't wanna get people's hopes up (99% of the time it's a grade 3 in the NRL). However, IMO there's an outside chance we'll see Keary again in 2021.

This will give Keary a year to fully recover from his ACL and repair that hammy that’s been troubling him. It will give Walker an opportunity to play first grade without the expectations of winning a premiership ( which he may still surprise us and do it). It will show us how developed our youngsters are and what the future looks like .
I think with most people writing us off as a title threat, we can fly under the radar , win enough matches to get us into top 6 at the very least , and when the playoffs come around, young Walker and Sualli would’ve had a fair bit of game time, Cordner would still be fresh ( fingers crossed) , Friend firing and Verrills also playing, others like Fletcher Baker and Suluka- Fifita have more experience, Hutchinson and Keighran would have played more first grade than north Sydney games and we can give the title a go.
Go Toosters, never lose the faith.
PS, before anyone asks if I’ve been drinking or taking some hallucinates, I assure you I do not drink and not do I do drugs, and last time I checked I had mental health issues
Just make sure u take your meds then hehe.

Not sure about your point regarding Walkers expectations. Every play-maker or coach in first grade is always under pressure and expectations to preform regardless of whether the team can win the comp or not.

Look at Kyle Flanagan, his position in first grade is already under pressure at the dogs...fans are already calling for his head, yet the doggies ain't winning no comp. Players should embrace pressure and expectations.

Friend was to see a brain specialist last week but the doc had a heart attack -So the decision on his playing future is slightly on hold

Kyle might come back to the Chooks perhaps?

My positive is that our terrible cumulative injury run has to be over, so onwards and upwards from here - surely to God it cannot get any worse.

If it does get worse then the North Sydney Bears will make the long awaited return to the NRL. Seriously though I don’t even want to think about worse right now.
