  • Ive resigned to the fact...

We are going to win a spoon in my lifetime and I will be there to see it.

    Yep.

And i will take said spoon and feed Freddy a dose.

And I will take the spoon and feed Unlce Nick a lovely 20 mills of it. And I will say, isnt that good? Doesnt that taste great!!?? Hmmmm can I have some more???

And we will all feel better getting that monkey of our back.

It took us 30 years to win the comp again. It took us 40 to win a spoon again.

And when I finish gorging from the vat of humility with Nick and Freddy, i will take said spoon.

And I will shove it up George Piggins arse with the other 10.
Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

How poetic. Unfortunately I think it's going to take a miracle for us to avoid the spoon, I like you never wanted to see one in my lifetime.

I have also resigned myself to the inevatibility of the spoon and in some ways welcome it IF and ONLY IF it results in some drastic changes for the better at the Roosters.

The only consoling factor about this is that the Dogs won it last year, and we can look forward to next year with the experience our young talent is getting this year.

Whilst I must admit we do look likely to get the wooden spoon. I certainly wouldnt want to be in a war with most of you lot.You have thrown in the towel already. I only hope the players have not given up as easily as most of our supporters have.

Unfortunately I haven't heard of signings such as Josh Morris, Ben Hannant, David Stagg, Michael Ennis, Greg Eastwood boosting our playing stocks.

If we clear the decks there really still isn't alot of quality on the market IMO. We need a good group of 25-28 year olds providing experience and form that the likes of Mason have failed to deliver.

Whilst I professed a resignation for the likelihood of the spoon, I can tell you that if I was a Roosters player as opposed to merely a supporter, the Roosters would NOT be vying unchallenged for the spoon.
I suspect others here would feel the same way.

Of course we'll get the spoon, we have a terrible team.

There would be a lot of captain/coaches playing in the team.....
