Wasn't Mini instrumental in bringing Baida/Steggles to the Roosters and if so might that have some bearing on whether the club retains him.

It was reported that way but from what I have also heard his role was more minor than publicized.

He was instrumental in that Artie, but the Roosters also stuck by Mini for those years when he didn't play a game and still received his contract monies, so there's been give and take on both sides. If Mini cares about the club as much as he claims to he will move on with good grace at the end of 2012. Mind you, if he staying means less chance of scoring Scummy Bill I may need to reconsider my preference.
